Woodwright investigated and provided a solution to my home repair project. Their expertise and professionalism created a beautiful restoration that could not be matched by any company that I know.

When we interviewed recommended contractors for the second phase of our remodeling project, we knew immediately that Woodwright would be a good fit. Now that we have finished the project, we feel fortunate to have found them and cannot say enough good things about both the product and the experience. Brent and Colin are skilled professionals who care about the details as well as the big picture; are honest, transparent, and accountable; have great design sense; and are so easy to work with. They, and their main craftsman Abe, are meticulous. No detail was left to chance and all work was of the highest quality. Yet neither that drive for perfection or COVID-related constraints derailed the overall schedule. When a material delivery was delayed or a sub’s schedule slipped, Brent was always able to juggle planned activities so that progress continued and there were no periods of slack. Pricing, as well as progress, was completely transparent and fair. During the design phase, Brent and Colin made good cost-conscious suggestions, and also introduced us to new products and suppliers that really enhanced the end product. Woodwright custom-designed and installed two accent pieces that fit perfectly with our aesthetics. Not only did they find creative solutions to our design challenges, they readily resolved the pop-up issues that are inevitable when remodeling an older home. They are good communicators, always informing us of any issues and giving us plenty of notice before decisions or selections needed to be made. And they are just good, pleasant people! Solid, solid work. Excellent attention to detail. Looks gorgeous. Live in a 1907 Queen Anne, wanted to match the old molding perfectly- this was done beautifully; just an example of wonderful work. Very clean remodel- no trouble living in the house during the huge kitchen renovation. Very impressed and already thinking of future projects to involve them with.

I simply can't say enough positive things about Brent and Colin. Incredibly hard and attentive workers. Meticulous, detail-oriented builders. Flexible and transparent. Accountable in every dimension. And just basically wonderful people. More specifically - our relationship with Woodwright has expanded over the years from an $11,000 entry way over our front door, through a $30,000 interior remodel with a lot of custom cabinetry, through a $100,000 remodel of the primary core area of our home... and through a $500,000+ addition/remodel that completely transformed our home. This last phase was accomplished during Covid, and during the wettest June in Idaho history... but the schedule barely slippped, and while costs were significantly higher than budgeted, this was due to dynamics entirely out of their control. - We have done every project while living in the home, and it has been entirely comfortable to have the Woodwright team, and all sub-contractors in our living space. In a word, they are respectful. Always. - One of the best aspects of working with them is that they are able to "design on the fly"; basically designing solutions to design problems that surfaced during construction... without up-charging for every item. It would be easy to call design solutions like this "change orders", but to Brent and Colin, they are simply "part of the job". Such a comforting approach, and so rare in this industry. My only question to the Boise building community is why Woodwright isn't doing full-on custom homes! They are more than capable, have a strong design sensibility, are accountable and transparent, and are as honest as they come. If I were building a new home, they would be my only call.

We feel so fortunate to have worked with Brent, Colin and all their subs on our recent kitchen remodel. They are exceptional communicators and true craftsmen who care about quality results. They listen. They are courteous. They are punctual and responsive to texts. They were respectful of our 100-year-old home and property and they do beautiful work. We love the era in which our home was constructed, and it was a top priority that the final result honor that time period. So, despite being new, the remodel would appear as if it had always been. Ours was a challenging project and Brent and Colin calmly weathered the surprises that we encountered with thoughtful, creative solutions. With their patience and willingness we were able to salvage cabinets, flooring and doors in the remodel, as well as incorporate many other pieces of our home's past in the new "old" look. New construction is indistinguishable from the original, cabinets match the style perfectly, the new floor merges with the original perfectly. We had an opportunity to see the quality of their work on the project they were finishing up before hiring them. I asked the client how it was to work with them. They answered, “They have been amazing. When they are not here, I actually miss them.” We understand that sentiment completely. We'd hire them again in a heartbeat.

Colin and Brent are amazing to work with, and I couldn't recommend them more. I did a lot of searching to find the right contractors. I'm picky about finish and craftsmanship, and also wanted someone who would be respectful to the midcentury features & bones of the house that I wanted to be preserved. They knocked it out of the park, and I ended up with a remodel that exceeded my expectations. The entire project was much less stressful than I'd anticipated - which was astounding, since it was a full living room/kitchen gut and remodel. Colin showed up on time every day, and was constantly cleaning up the area (which was good, since we were living in our house while it was under construction). He was also incredibly responsive to my concerns, even when I texted him at night or over the weekend. Colin and Brent are great at finding new details and products to really take their projects to the next level, and stay on top of the subcontractors to make sure that everything is immaculate and up to their standards. Another reviewer said something to the effect of “They have been amazing. When they are not here, I actually miss them.” Yep, ditto. It was a pleasure.

I could not be happier with the results of my kitchen and main living area remodel from Woodwright Custom Builders. I am so glad I selected this company. We will definitely return to Brent Anderson, dba Woodright Construction, for further remodel work. He and his crew remodeled three bathrooms and a laundry room. We are thrilled with the results and with the working relationship we had with Brent. He is intelligent, detail oriented, and very conscientious about minimizing the dust and debris that is inevitable in a remodel job. To start the process, he provided a comprehensive cost estimate on a room by room basis. He minimizes stress to clients because he is skilled, trustworthy, considerate, and always pleasant.

Brent has now completed two small-ish remodel projects for me. The first was a complicated portico over my front door that had to integrate with a stone landing, stone facing and a 1950's style overall design. He and his crew nailed it, on time and on budget (despite some mid-project design changes). The second was a high finish quality, built-in set of wrapped bookshelves and a new closet. Again, these had to be retrofitted into an existing style, so we had to walk a fine line between "new" construction and something that looked appropriate for the home. Again, on time and on budget. But what is most impressive is the quality of the subs and tradesmen that Brent relies on. It is said that one defines one's self by the company one keeps. If so, Woodwright has defined themselves in the best way possible. I'd recommend Brent and his crew enthusiastically, with confidence and without hesitation.

Brent and his team replaced a good amount of the cabinetry in my older North End home. They were prompt with their timelines and were extremely meticulous with their detail. Loved working with them. Great Company.

We would highly recommend Woodwright Custom Builders! They recently completed a remodel/update of our home (granite countertops and backsplashes in kitchen and 2 baths, tile floors and tile shower, tub/shower insert, laundry room flooring, and some painting), and we couldn't be happier with their work. They assisted us in picking out the materials and completed the work according to the timeline given and at the agreed upon price - no hidden costs or "surprise" added expenses. They showed up to all the appointments and work each day at the scheduled time and took very good care of our home as they completed the job. They also took great care to put things back (doors, mirrors, misc hardware, etc) and completely cleaned their work area when finished. I can't say enough about the excellent workmanship, professionalism, and the ease of working with this company!

For years my husband and I have talked about remodeling our master bath and closet. When we met with Brent and Colin to discuss the project - we knew (immediately) we found the right team. Coincidentally, while they were working to complete our project, two non-related "house hiccups" occurred. Brent and Colin didn't need too, but they took the lead and assisted us - so very kind, considerate and impressive! These guys are very talented and create beautiful rooms. They're honest and most importantly they're RESPECTFUL of your home, budget and ideas. Yes. We definitely will hire Woodwright again!

I couldn't be happier with how our project went! We wanted some built-in bench seating in a back room, but we live in the North End so there were a lot of old, mismatched, etc., components of the house to work with. The guys did a beautiful job, came in on budget, always arrived on time, and left my house spotless. The final seating looks like it's been there all along. I would hire these gentlemen again in an instant. A+!

Actually two significant projects are involved: built-in book shelves and garage shelving and work area. Both jobs were handled professionally and with high quality workmanship. I have no problem hiring Woodwright again for my home improvement needs.
