About Us

Flora Kogan at ZAZ Studio has been working in the industry for over a decade, designing for a variety of well-known architecture & interiors firms listed below. She started off her career as a prop master's assistant, working on sets for Broadway and Off-Broadway shows. The experience ignited her passion for spatial design. Since then, she has been designing interiors for hotels, restaurants, and residential homes. She believes in the psychology of limitations, meaning that constraints and variables can push us to find more creative approaches. She is a master at creating fresh, chic, and elegant environments using a mixture of contemporary and eclectic elements. I have worked with Flora of Zaz studios several times and can not recommend her highly enough. I have a vision for how I want things to look but am indecisive and often can’t figure out how to make that vision come to life. Flora does a great job of making my visions come to fruition while also adding components I wouldn’t have thought of on my own. She has gone above and beyond to help make my house a home, and has helped with a wide array of tasks from helping making construction decisions during the finishing of my basement to the more minute decorative details. Whatever your design needs, Flora and Zaz studio can help.

I recently bought a townhouse, and Flora at ZAZ Studio was exceptional! Flora was available to discuss all of my design ideas when I needed her, and she even took the time to take the paint colors I was considering and manipulate a picture to show all of the different ways I could use not only the color I wanted, but accent colors and where in the room it would look best. She made it easy to understand, and made sure I had the best options for my home so I could design it the way I had always dreamed of. She provided me with a lot of great ideas, and was there to help me when we were considering buying new furniture. I'm pretty cheap, so we didn't go through with it, but she took the time to still let me know that if there was anything I needed for the house she would help me find it, buy it, and even help show me how to decorate myself so I have a better idea in the future. I would highly, highly recommend ZAZ Studio - 100% professional, not at all pushy like a lot of interior design studios, and available to chat when I needed her. If you're looking for a high quality professional with truly innovative and beautiful designs, please check her out!! I've seen a lot of her work and it's nothing short of charming. Five stars!
