Cooking Utensils

Browse a large selection of cooking utensils and stock up on kitchen essentials such as a spatula, tongs, ladle, whisk, potato masher, ice cream scoop, slotted spoon and skimmer.

Which kitchen utensils are essential?

Wooden spoon - Handy for anything from baking to stirring hot food, a few wooden spoons should be a mainstay of every kitchen.
Spatula - A flat spatula is essential for flipping, turning or serving food easily without getting burnt, and a spoon shaped spatula is perfect for mixing batter.
Whisk - Whisks are a must for efficient beating and can be used for mixing sauces and batters or whipping cream.
Tongs - A useful alternative to spatulas, kitchen tongs are ideal for picking up and turning items or for serving up salads.
Ladle - The only foolproof way to serve liquid from saucepan to bowl.
Potato Masher - No other handheld tool is up to the job for crushing food as quickly and easily as mashers
Ice Cream Scoop - Scoops are ideal for measuring, portioning and serving up food (though let’s face it, we’ll probably use it for ice cream).
Funnel - Funnels are a foolproof way to pour liquids or fine ingredients like flour, spices or rice into a small opening such as a bottle or jar.

What other kitchen utensils can I find?

Variations of essential utensils are designed to make life that little bit easier. A balloon whisk is a larger alternative to regular whisks and will make light work of hand-beating eggs and cream, and sugar tongs are perfect for picking up smaller items such as sugar cubes and even ice. A silicone spatula will protect pans and bowls from scratches, and their flexibility makes the ideal for scraping bowls and folding batter. A meat tenderiser is the tool to have if you take your meat seriously, and if you prefer shelling your nuts whole then a pair of quality nutcrackers are a good investment.
