With its superior heat conductivity, the saut & frypans is ideal for frying as well as saut ing. Our copper saut & frypan as well as the lid is constructed completely by hand using one single sheet of 2mm thick pure copper. The tinning is done utilizing the traditional fire-tinning method using only 100% pure tin, handles are made of pure brass and are secured by pure copper rivets. Size & Capacity: 34cm Fry & Saute Pan = W 34cm x H 6.5cm - 5.9ltr. 100% Hand-Crafted in our workshop in Ravina, Italy: As all of our products, our rounded Saute & Frypan with lid is handcrafted in the Navarini workshop in northern Italy. The body and the lid of our copper saute & fry pan is constructed from one single sheet of copper ensuring absolute even heat distribution from the base to the sides of the serving pan. The extra-long handle is made of high quality brass and secured by pure copper rivets. 2mm thick, pure high quality copper: The copper used for our serving pan is pure copper with a thickness of 2mm making this copper serving pan equally suitable on gas as well as electric, glass or ceramic stoves. No unwanted hot-spots, air-pockets or loss of efficiency: Other type of materials such as stainless steel or aluminum as well as the way some cookware is constructed, might result in air pockets in the material especially the base. These air pockets would allow heat to concentrate on one spot creating hot spots over time. The base of the Navarini copper saut & frypan will never create any hot spots, air pockets or lose any of its superior heat conductivity as it is made of one single sheet of copper. This means that the thermal heat conductivity as well as heat retention will not only be superior to stainless steel or aluminum cookware but will retain its high level of efficiency throughout the lifetime of your Navarini copper cookware. Exceptional heat conductivity and retention: Copper conducts heat twice as fast as aluminum cookware, 5 times faster compared to cast iron and over 25 times faster than stainless steel cookware. This time difference becomes obvious when it comes to heating up or changing the temperature during the cooking process. Changing the temperature on your stove translates into immediate change in temperature in your copper cookware allowing cooking, brown or braising to perfection. Pure brass handles secured with pure copper rivets: Our copper saut & frypan features 1 extra-long handle allowing to handle the pan easy and safe even with the use of both hands. We only use high quality brass handles on any of our copper products as well as only secure them with pure copper rivets. The body handle as well as the lid handle is secured with copper rivets. Hand-hammered for enhanced durability and structure: Our copper saut & frypan, including the lid, is entirely hand-hammered. Hand-hammered copper cookware adds strength and enhances the structure & durability of the material. In addition, hand-hammered characterizes true artisanship. High quality, non-reactive & renewable tin-lining using traditional fire-tinning method: We only use high quality, 100% pure and non-reactive tin-lining for our copper products as well as applying the lining utilizing the traditional method of fire-tinning. The advantage is that the heat conductivity of the tin-lining corresponds perfectly with the copper. Hence, translates desired changes of cooking temperature immediately to the food allowing much more cooking control and better results. Compared to other coating materials, our tin-lining can easily be renewed as often as desired and your cookware can be handed onto the next generation. High level of heat tolerance: Our copper cookware including the non-reactive and renewable tin-lining has a high heat tolerance of up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit (230 degrees Celsius. One of the reasons why our copper cookware is preferred by professional chefs around the world. Rounded transition from the base to the side: Rather then having straight sides, this particular saucepan is crafted with a smooth and rounded transition from the base to the sides of the cookware. This rounded transition allows working the food with utensils easier and more efficient. Packed in a beautiful Bottega Navarini cloth bag: As most of our larger copper products, our copper serving pan will arrive packed in a beautiful blue Bottega Navarini cloth bag. Not only a fitting bag for our beautiful copper products but already treasured by our customers as a sign of an original Navarini. Crafted by hand in the Navarini family workshop of Ravina, Italy.Read More
If you're an keen home chef, finding the right cookware is key. Cookware sets are used on a daily basis, so they need to withstand frequent use. We all need the basic kitchenware — kettles, skillets, frying pans and saucepans — though specialty items such as a dutch oven, griddle and wok can also help us easily prepare our favourite meals.

As you prepare to splurge on brand new cookware, here are some considerations to help you make your pick:

What cookware should I buy?

Kettles are a kitchen staple for us Brits, as are roasting pans for Sunday roasts and a frying pan for fry ups. A cookware set will ensure cohesiveness, but you may want to mix materials, such as ceramic pans with stainless steel pots and a cast iron skillet.
At a minimum, your cookware set should include large and small pots and saucepans with lids, a grill pan and a non stick or ceramic frying pan.

What specialty cookware should I buy?

A high-quality dutch oven can be a beautiful addition to your kitchen and with good care will last a lifetime. A wok is a mainstay for many kitchens, and can be used for a wide range of tasks such as stir frying, steaming, deep frying and poaching. Similarly, a paella pan is a versatile item that is useful for both stovetop and oven use. If you have an induction hob, you may want to purchase induction pans for best results.

What cookware material works best?

Should you buy stainless steel, copper, aluminium or cast iron cookware? This is an age-old question that all depends on your budget and cooking concerns. Stainless steel is nonreactive, heavy-duty and fairly affordable, which may suffer from uneven heat distribution. Copper pots look beautiful and offer more even cooking but are a more expensive choice. Aluminium is lightweight and budget-friendly, though less durable than heavier metals, while cast iron heats evenly and is extremely hard-wearing, and will need extra care and preparation.
