I would never use this on line designer again. I paid Stacy $500 for her services which consisted of her sending pictures from her online store. She buys from the retailers and sells to her clients at a profit. I have no issue with this but when I had a problem with a rug that was "sprouting" and a light fixture that she recommended that I paid over $700 for and didn't fit she left me high and dry. She actually said that I ruined the rug myself by walking on it with high heels, which I don't wear and the rug is under a dining room set that gets very little use. I bought the rug in late October and by the middle of December it was "sprouting", which is a term the manufacturer used. I have attached pictures. I understand that this happens but Stacy was so rude when I questioned her about the return policy, which was shipping and a 15% restocking fee. I also had an issue with a chandelier over my island, which I paid $575 for and ended up selling on Criagslist for $150, brand new in the box because I couldn't use it and it couldn't be returned because it had been installed and the length of wire was cut. I gave her the measurements she asked for and the light was huge, when standing at my island it came down to my chin. It looked ridiculous. She said she didn't know the height of my ceilings. She never asked for those measurements. She was very condescening and I was getting nowhere conversing with her and although I didn't want to I said I would take it through the court system if I had to. I ended up just letting it go because it just wasn't worth the hastle to me.

Stacy at South Shore Decorating helped me with my whole first floor from 200 miles away! I wasn't sure about e-decorating, but hired her because I loved her portfolio. The whole thing went off without a hitch and I highly recommend her.

Stacy Curran helped me redesign my living room and dining room. We spent the day shopping for furniture and mapping out the floor plan. I am very happy with her work.

First, you asked for the bigger light against my recommendation. Second, the restocking fee is not mine, it is Arcadian Home's, and you knew about it before you ordered. I literally have no control over it. Third, I did NOT send only items I could get a discount on, and you know that. I sent you many, many others, despite your claim to the contrary. And I might add, I PASSED all discounts on to you, so you actually saved almost as much as you paid. So to say I mark things up is a total disregard for the truth (that's me being nice). I ALWAYS have and always will pass discounts on, and in fact can prove it in every case, including yours. IF ANYONE WANTS KATHIE'S RECEIPT, with the first or last name and card redacted, but showing the link to the original price and then the MUCH lower price she paid - I will email it to prove this is a lie from an unfortunately very bitter woman who I doubt anyone could please - Email me here for the screenshots: stacycurran@gmail.com .
Kathie, I *asked* you if heels tugged at it. That is VERY different from what you said. And I tried with the company to get a free return, but was unsuccessful. Do you expect us to believe that those pulls just *happened* under the dining room table?? I don't know a manufacturer in the world that would take it back like that. You know (and admit) that is didn't come that way, so what would you have me do!? It is also a pretty bold lie to say I left you high and dry - I went to bat for you and can prove it with the emails I sent to the company (happy to provide them to anyone who wants them). I am eager to provide anyone with screenshots of ALL of our other emails as well to disprove her other claims (I sent the return policy from the store, but I can't read it for her).
This is the only bad review I have ever received, ever, anywhere (please google my name to see!), and like I said, I believe it got personal because I finally had to walk away and not even collect the full fee (first time ever). It has been sixteen months, and I feel sorry for you Kathie that you are still so upset about your (not my - I didn't recommend the light) mistake. Anyone can see that. I'm sorry that this is still plaguing you so many months later, but I'm not sure what you want me to do. Life is too short, so I will let this response be my only one and hope people can see the truth.
I wish you and yours well, and more happiness in the future, however.
All the best,
Stacy
