Ale&G - Design Solutions

We appointed Alessandra to create drawings for a bathroom in a difficult loft space with multiple angles and sloping ceilings. She did this brilliantly but much more besides, including helping to source appropriate bathroom fixtures, fittings and furniture, proposing design ideas and practical approaches that we may not have considered otherwise and introducing us to suppliers and installers so we could progress our project. We’re now ready to go and recognise that it would have been painful and time-consuming to get to this point without her. We would be very pleased to work with Alessandra again.

We really enjoyed working with Alessandra. She helped us as an interior designer and as an architect as we did improvements to almost all of our flat. Alessandra’s attention to detail and dedication to the project was very impressive. She suggested nice and functional ideas and immediately understood our needs, style and budget constraints too. We used Ale&G services for a full house refurb. Excellent designer, will listen to your ideas and provide options. Is not afraid to think out of the box to provide ideas that are contrasting to your ideas. We ended up choosing her ideas as they were better than ours and the end result has been phenomenal. We have got complements on the colour choices & contrasts that we have used which were all the designer's choices.

I appointed Alessandra to renovate our flat in South Harrow. My husband is quite traditional when we speak about furniture, lights and colour scheme. My style is very different: vibrant colours, nice accessories and unusual pieces of design make me happy. The task was quite complicated but Alessandra came up with several solutions which made both of us happy. She took care of every single detail. Highly recommended!

I engaged Alessandra Turso of this firm to help me design a project for my Victorian home which consisted of structural elements (removal of chimney, internal insulation, underfloor heating) as well as designing a new kitchen/diner, downstairs bathroom, cloakroom and utility room. She had several meetings with me, and surveyed and measured the property extensively. She engaged a structural engineer to provide a report on the structural elements, and also participated constructively in a meeting with a kitchen designer/installer. She had plenty of good ideas to improve the design, and sourced appropriate products (such as flooring, tiling, bathroom fittings). Her end product was high quality architectural plans (existing and proposed) and a detailed scope of work which will be used for putting the project out to contract. She also sourced one possible contractor. Alessandra delivered a high quality product, in the time agreed. She is very pleasant and easy to work with.

Alessandra has been a wonderful and creative person to work who really listened to our needs and came up with a vision to transform our upstairs bedrooms into something really special for us. We loved the whole design process and we just clicked right away to make decisions and share ideas too. We are looking forward to working with Alessandra for our future projects too!

I recently enlisted the help of Ale&G Interior Design to work out how best to use the space in my unusually shaped living area and from the first meeting with Alessandra, I knew I had made the right decision! I found her to be very professional yet easy to talk to and she not only provided some great ideas for the room layout, lighting and colour scheme, providing technical drawings and mood boards to bring everything to life, but also found some amazing pieces of furniture that suited my space and style perfectly but that I probably never would have discovered alone. I used Alessandra to redesign my teenage son's bedroom. The bedroom is still as it was when we bought the house 11 years ago in terms of decor and has hideous textured paper on the walls and ceiling, light fittings in the wrong place, sockets in the wrong place, impractical fitted cupboards, stained carpet, the list goes on! I had never thought about using an interior designer before as I assumed they would be hugely out of my budget. However I don't have an eye for design and I wanted a bedroom with a wow factor as I use it as my office when my boy is at school so I decided to try out a consultation and I have no regrets, it was worth every penny. I was impressed right from the start. Alessandra was friendly, professional and thorough and put me at ease. She is superb at what she does. She was able to translate my very rough idea of what I was looking for into a reality, with in depth research into different products and styles, and constant communication. She understood my brief perfectly and straight away came up with fantastic ideas, things I would not have thought of such as LED lighting cornice around the room instead of the ugly strips sellotaped on to the walls. I gave her carte blanche for the mood board and colour scheme and I am delighted with everything she has proposed, from the wallpaper for the feature wall to the paint for the walls and cupboard doors. I was also impressed with her choice of accessories, cushions, lamps, chair, lampshades. I want a stylish room that's also functional and practical and I have no doubt that it will be exactly that. Alessandra was easy to contact and kept in touch throughout the process. She's given me all the information I need (measurements, drawings, list of items to buy, websites to order from etc). She also got quotes from different joiners for the floating shelves and bespoke drawers for the fitted cupboard. When the work is done, I am confident that we will have achieved an absolutely fantastic end result that I will be very happy with (and my son too, he did have a say in the matter after all!). I highly recommend Alessandra and will be using her services again in the future for other rooms in my home. And I will add photos on completion of the work, hopefully by the end of February 2022.

We were struggling to decide on the best way to modernise our rather tired kitchen and decided to seek the help of an architect. Alessandra was just what we needed - very knowledgeable and very good at working with us to come up with options, ideas and solutions to problems. She was very professional, thorough, friendly - and patient! She provided clear sketches, drawings and budgets that we were able to modify as we went along and then, when we were ready, she approached suppliers and fitters on our behalf to obtain quotations. Alessandra quoted us in advance a very reasonable, fixed fee for her services and it was a sound investment - it has been a pleasure to work with her. We would certainly employ her again and would have no hesitation in recommending her very highly.

Alessandra, has a very professional approach from start to finish! I had a very demanding and quick deadline for a outdoor building renovation project. She must have worked all night to deliver the presentation on time and didn’t miss a thing from our consultation. She is extremely thorough and was pleasantly surprised of the quality products used to still meet my budget. The tradesmen she used was also lovely and very friendly but Alessandra was on site making sure they follow exactly what and how she wants it to be - and let me tell you if they miss any corners she will make them do it over till it is right! Alessandra helped us design our family bathroom and our laundry room. Although we had to discuss everything by video call, she was immediately able to understand what we wanted to achieve and came up with several solutions. We would have no hesitation in recommending this design service!

I would highly recommend Ale&G Interior Design, we worked with Alessandra to refurbish our small flat and she was able to take our ideas and understand our needs. She helped us to choose materials for the kitchen, the bathroom and she was top notch, her suggestions were great and without these the kitchen would have been the usual kitchen you can see everywhere. However we wanted something customised and she was able to understand that. The materials she uses make the difference, she takes care of every single detail. Alessandra supported us with our kitchen renovation. She spent with us half day at Magnet to design our kitchen, select the materials and the colours. She was very careful and detailed oriented to make sure the kitchen we were getting was exactly what we needed/wished for. Important to note that Alessandra is open find solution for what you need/wish for (different from other architects who wants to put their mark and leave their “stamp” in their designs). She did delivered not a kitchen, but what we called a master piece of art - her careful selection of colour and materials + solutions to corners and panels at the top/at the bottom to hide electrics paid off having her in that work. Everyone who comes to our house or lastly who sees our kitchen from Zoom/Skype or Team spots how beautiful it is (not only beautiful, but for us who uses the kitchen it is entirely functional, easy to clean and all sorted).
