The Challenge! To translate the ideas and wishes of the client in to a buildable project and present that scheme as a package for tendering. To my wife and I this was a challenge, but to Anthony it was all in a days (or rather weeks) work ! Using our ideas and sketches he gently turned them in to a series of architectural drawing which were the basis of our finished design for the tender document and then the build. His long experience with regulations and building practices was totally invaluable; and, after the design and tendering process he was retained to regularly check the progress against the contractor’s billing and, even more important, act as a mediator should this potentially delicate relationship deteriorate. We are happy clients and I can wholeheartedly recommend this formula to any other similar project.

Anthony Southey did a fantastic job on a complicated project, extending a commercial property to incorporate domestic living space and commercial access. He listened to what we wanted and was able to give us an imaginative and beautiful building, far exceeding what we envisaged ourselves yet meeting every criterion that we specified and remaining within budget. He provided us with several different options, all of which were creative and designed implicitly for our needs. The planning permissions and consents required (we are in a conservation area) were fully researched by Anthony, resulting in approval of the plans from a very early stage and he was on hand for discussions with builders and contractors when needed. I would not hesitate to recommend him.

Excellent, highly experienced architect services. A safe and steady pair of hands at an affordable level of pricing. We have used this company for several projects, both in Wiltshire and in London, and have been very pleased with the attention to detail and professionalism provided. Deadlines have been met and we especially appreciated Mr Southey's ability to be flexible and open to our ideas and revisions as the projects have progressed, and not to get difficult about changes - as some architects can.

We had an idea to make substantial changes to our property. We have absolutely no experience of building work and only a limited understanding of what would be practical and what would not. Mr Southey visited our premises to discuss our ideas and take measurements. Within two weeks he sent us comprehensive plans and made a number of extremely helpful suggestions. Once we had decided to go ahead with our plans Mr Southey advised us on how to brief the builders and how to deal with building regs. Throughout the process Mr Southey was highly professional and courteous and we are totally satisfied with his work. We cannot imagine how we could have got a better service and so a maximum rating of five stars is our only option here. We have no hesitation in recommending Mr Southey to any other potential clients.
