Atelier Architecture and Design is a practice specializing in rural architecture and urban / rural fringe. Our mission is to redefine what rural architecture is, to change the way we think about buildings and landscape.
We help investors looking for a retreat, who are contemplating significant investment without knowing their best options. We draw out the magic of their site with sensitive and exciting design and without compromising the natural environment.
We use our visionary ‘Pioneer-Nature –Method’ leading the ‘untrodden path’ to discover ways to enrich our client’s experience. Our clients go from unsubstantiated dreams and tentative decisions to real plans and the realization that exceptional design can be built into outstanding landscapes.
We hold the belief that our surroundings directly influence the quality of our lives. Each project is developed in a unique response to the ecological, cultural and economic constraints of the site. We identify and interpret the character of place and the owner’s needs so that they can be sustained and enhanced.
Our current projects range in value between £200,000 to £10,000,000 and our clients include private homeowners, property developers, housing associations, commercial bodies, local authorities and charities. We welcome new challenges and seek ways of applying our knowledge to new situations.
