Richard drew up our plans for a single storey rear extension. Finding an architect that listens carefully to your requirements was key to the success of our project. Richard Stone drew up the plans for our Kitchen/Orangery extension meeting all our requirements. We are highly delighted with the end result and appreciate all the effort that Richard went to to satisfy the requirements of building control. We wanted the maximum amount of light and building control kept adding requirements for more insulation/less heat loss, but Richard was able to achieve a solution that we are highly delighted with and building control passed.

Richard Stone was recommended to us for the design of an extension to a house in a sensitive area; the original was created by an Architect on the Heritage committee of our local planning, but he had retired and we needed someone who understood how to reconcile the addition with the original. He was quick and efficient, producing CAD drawings in Adobe, paper copies and also on request in CAD, so we could merge his ideas into the existing shape. He is easy to work with and does not push his own suggestions over your own, also always came back when messages were left on his answerphone if he was in a meeting, and was totally reliable on appointments. What did help was he is ex-Building Control for the Local Authority, so designs were practical and compliant.

Richard drew the plans for our house. He attached the drawings in an email and checked we were happy with them before sending them to planning. He also had explained what the process would be like. Richard is easy to contact and very professional. He also responds quickly to emails!
