Ms Charlson-Stenner was our architect for a back extension of our house. She did the drawings, managed obtaining all permits, and helped us with advice during the build. We are very happy with her services. In the planning phase, Ms Charlson-Stenner had very good ideas that improved the design of the extension. She then drew very good plans. They passed planning without any problems, and the builders could work to her plans. During the stressful building phase, Ms Charlson-Stenner was always available, and we and the builder valued her technical advice. Ms Charlson-Stenner has a very high standard, which unfortunately is unusual for the British building trade. I can highly recommend her to anyone wishing to undertake major and minor building works.

We engaged Carlson Stenner Architects (CSA) to design and draw up plans for our less-than-straightforward loft conversion situated within an Article 4 conservation area. CSA produced innovative and well thought-through ideas, designs and drawings which helped us quickly to decide on our design priorities. When Council planning and conservation policies required us to make several revisions and amendments to our plans, CSA attended meetings with the Council and produced new ideas and new drawings quickly and efficiently, to enable us to address the Council's requirements and to make progress with our application. Communication of ideas between ourselves and CSA has been excellent throughout the planning application process and the quality of design and drawing has been highly professional. We would not hesitate to recommend CSA for similar projects.

Sabine from Carlson Stenner acted as architect for us on our house extension. Whilst size wise this was simply building the side return, we took the opportunity to restructure the whole of the ground floor to make the space more useable. Sabine were brilliant, from getting the planning permission sorted to helping us to create a fantastic space. She discussed the plans with us in great detail and helped advise us on how to get the best solution. The result is a design that maximises every inch of the house and the high ceilings coupled with the velux windows have brought a lot of light into the house. She also recommended the builder who was excellent coming in on time and budget. We are extremely pleased with the end result and would definitely recommend Carlson Stenner in the future.

I couldn’t recommend this company highly enough. If you want a professional service which balances your needs and wishes with good practical advice then this is the Architect that you should use. From the initial consultation which clearly sets out the services offered to the more detailed planning, design and project management (if you wish) you could not be in better hands. No project is hassle free but using Carlson Stenner Architects, in my opinion, is as good as it gets,
