Abigail Architects were a great partner throughout our project, and we’d happily recommend them. From the outset, Abigail showed an impressive ability to understand what we were aiming for, while also bringing her own ideas to the table in a way that felt genuinely collaborative. She contributed thoughtful design features and finishing touches that elevated the final result. Her attention to detail was meticulous, and that carried through every stage — from drawings to specifications to site work. She worked closely and constructively with our builders, helping to find practical solutions whenever issues arose. We always felt she was looking out for our interests; she wasn’t afraid to challenge window specifications until they were right, and she took a careful approach to valuations. We did have a hiccup with planning, but were very happy with how she handled it: calm, proactive, and focused on getting things back on track. Throughout the process she was friendly, professional, and easy to work with. Overall, a very positive experience.

Their drawings are clear and well thought through, which makes a real difference when it comes to delivering the work on site and keeping everything moving smoothly. We cannot rate Abigail highly enough! She has been utterly brilliant from start to finish on our kitchen extension build. Her involvement made the whole process as stress-free as any build can be. Abigail really cares about client preferences and is accommodating in her approach to her designs. At each stage, Abigail helped us think through the various options but left the final decision up to us, explaining pros and cons of different ideas, both in terms of the look/design but also practicalities. We were really impressed with her organisational skills and wonderful attention to detail, as well as her responsive communication and reliability. We trusted her entirely throughout and she helped us understand each stage (planning permission, party wall etc) and advocated for us if needed. We stayed in the house with our two young children throughout the build, but Abigail was very sensitive to this and made sure the builders were equally considerate. We had never worked with an architect before but if we were to undertake any other works in future there is no one I would go to other than Abigail. We could quickly see that we could trust her completely with every step of this process. Without her, it is clear that the experience would have been a lot more stressful. People kept commenting how relaxed we were for a family living in a building site! Abigail and the builders really did what they could to keep things moving. The final result is that our kitchen is absolutely beautiful, we love the space and feel at home in it already. It is quite unlike the usual kitchen extensions that are fashionable at the moment, people notice the small details and it is clear an architect who loves her job was involved. My wife and I used Abigail as our architect for our house renovation project in 2025. It was a 6 month job, and we made a lot of changes to the house. We tried to be good clients, but I am sure we were annoying! We made changes constantly, and went back and forwards on decisions a lot, but Abigail dealt with it very well. Her ideas were great. She visited the site a good amount. Her communication was great. Just a pleasure to work with. We are so happy with the outcome, and her mock ups and 3D visualisations really helped our decision making and turned out to be very accurate in conveying how the space would feel in real life. We have had the pleasure of working with Abigail from Cherry Architects for the past 19 months on the full refurbishment of our 1930s home. This is the first time we had needed the help of an architect and the prospect of full renovation was daunting so we were looking for someone trusted and experienced to guide us through the process. From our initial meeting right through to final sign off it has been a joy working with Abigail. At all stages she took on board our ideas, guided us through the planning process seamlessly, helped us to spot potential pitfalls in advance and manage the building process all whilst bring a stylish design to the property. It has been truly collaborative and her input has been invaluable. She has a great eye for detail keeping the spirit of the original period building whilst adding modern functional aspects to bring a breath of fresh air to our family home. We used Cherry Architects for our bathroom extension and creation of an en-suite for our daughter’s bedroom. They were fab from start to finish, creating great plans and designs and really took all the pressure off of us for this project. They took care of everything for us. We appointed Cherry Architects for our period house renovation based on a recommendation from a friend. From the initial design meeting, Abigail listened to our goals and ideas, and built on these to offer fresh perspectives. She's both creative and practical, and has amazing attention to detail. We're thrilled with the final design and it's wonderful now seeing the plans come to life. We'd wholeheartedly recommend Cherry Architects and wouldn't hesitate to work with them again.

About 18 months again we decided to embark on a complete transformation on our 1930’s terrace property in South London. I knew I needed a person that just “got me” and Abigail from Cherry Architects was no exception. On arrival to our property Abigail worked with me to take our very drab house back to a modern art deco fab! She listened and was enthusiastic and came back to us with 3 possible layouts to give better flow and more storage, she even helped me create my utility room of dreams which I thought would be near on impossible due to our property being long and narrow. I was a complete “reno virgin” and Abigail just gave me the confidence to be brave and go for it. She was always available to discuss ideas and give suggestions , was in no way pushy but got our brief and really worked together with me to brain storm ideas to make my vision a reality. I can not recommend her highly enough! She was worth every penny we spent and I look forward to her returning and working with me on phase two of our project in the near future! 10/10

We had a relatively difficult brief to fill: Bringing functional mid-century inspired functionality to a coach-house built in 1840. The results were stunning. The kitchen, formerly tucked away in a side room is now the 'beating heart' of the house. We have a light and open home office and the 'pokey dining room' is now a practical and stylish second living room (snug). The team were fantastic when we went out to tender, finding us exceptional contractors who they managed start to finish. Their sketch-work and ideation was tempered by a realistic approach that ensured we weren't going to lose sight of the original brief or plan something we could never afford. I would absolutely recommend them and look forward to the possibility of using them again in the future.

I employed Cherry Architects for a loft conversion and refurbishment to the hallway/ entrance of our home - I am really happy with what they produced. they are clearly very passionate about what they do and put in so much time and energy - and came up with beautiful design ideas :) It was also excellent value for money given how much they gave us.

Abigail made the entire process of designing and building our home so easy and simple! My husband and I were able to be continuinly involved so we felt like we were aware at all stages of what was going on.
