Candor Construction was selected, not only on the basis of price, but also for having completed an extension next door. We had a brilliant experience working with Design Squared on the remodelling of our downstairs space. They listened to our brief and provided designs that reflected what we wanted in terms of design and practicality. The process of applying for planning permission was made so much simpler using D2 too! Design Squared Ltd designed our new extension to replace an old lean-to which we'd inherited when we bought the house. The space was very constrained but they came up with a great design to relocate the main bedroom and incorporate an ensuite bathroom, in a layout which we hadn't thought of, and it worked brilliantly. We now have a beautiful, light-filled master suite which incorporates a roof terrace on top. Everyone in the team who worked on our project was extremely professional, hugely helpful, and just very nice to work with. We cannot recommend them highly enough.

I employed LDL Contractors Ltd to install a new kitchen. We encountered quite a few problems, once the old kitchen was removed, they were very flexible and professional to complete the work with exacting standard. I also decided to give them more work - pointing, restoration work on bricks and painting which they were able to finish to my satisfaction. I will be using them for all my building work in the future.

When I first started planning our side return kitchen extension, I was initially wary of the additional costs that working with an architect would involve. Having now completed the entire process and am enjoying the end results I can't imagine doing it with out the help of Design Squared. Like the majority of people I have not been involved in that many building projects, and this was the largest I have experienced. The knowledge, expertise and professionalism input by Design Squared was invaluable. Throughout the design process they where on hand to advise and help me problem solve. They helped me through the party wall process, liaised with building control, submitted planning permission applications, Introduced me to a quality structural engineering company and ultimately drew up a tender package for the scope of works that was submitted to 4 building contractors that they had previously worked with, and recommended. From the subsequent quotes I was able to select my preferred contractor. Testament to their involvement is that the project ran smoothly with no major issues. We are very pleased with the end result.
