fiftypointeight is an RIBA chartered architectural and interiors practice specialising in residential new-build projects, extensions, alterations and renovations. By preparing specific designs tailored to the requirements of modern living, our aim is to hand over delightful and imaginative solutions and to create flexible, comfortable and efficient homes.

Building an extension is supposed to be a stressful time, however, Angus and his team made it as least stressful as possible. He has such a calm approach and was in touch with us and our builder at all times. I was never worried that a bad decision was being made. It was a complete pleasure to have worked with him. We now have a beautiful home to thank him for.

We met Angus at a RIBA sponsored design day. He was one of a dozen practices that we spoke to during this architectural 'speed date'. Angus stood out from the crowd, listening carefully and offering well thought out and constructive advice, we knew instantly that we had found someone we could work with. He carefully guided us through the initial steps helping to translate our varied and often conflicting ideas into one cohesive set of plans to submit to the planners. We are about to embark on the final stage, the build, and know we are in safe hands.

I highly recommend Angus and his team for their professional and enthusiastic approach to our project. They used their design flair and knowledge to ensure we achieved the final vision. Angus and his team have taken a very professional and creative approach to our project, always happy to discuss options and to offer honest and practical advice. Our house is already quite quirky in design and the proposals that we've now had planning approval for will really complement our home and provide the extra living space we need, without us simply adding a 'shoe box' shape on the back. It was a pleasure to work with Angus Eitel and his team. We had our own ideas on how to renovate an old farm cottage and Angus listened to our thoughts and came up with a number of options to suit our budget. His flexibility allowed us to amalgamate features from the options to arrive at our final design. He then helped us through the planning process. Angus and his team understood our wishes and have worked alongside the contractors to deliver a beautifully restored and designed property. Their knowledge was invaluable at the planning stages as we live in a conservation area. Mr Angus Eitel of fiftypointeight Architecture + Interiors was commissioned to review possible options for realising the full potential of our 18th Century Grade II listed detached cottage in Westbourne and its adjacent single-storey outbuilding and for upgrading the property in line with current standards. He has produced three imaginative and interesting alternative proposals in a professional manner, and responded very helpfully to our queries concerning them. Once we have agreed which alternative we prefer, the next stage will be to produce a more detailed design in order to seek planning permission and listed building consent.
