FrancescoPierazziArchitects is an emerging, design-led architectural practice set up in London in 2014. The practice has a well established experience in a wide range of sectors and scales, both in the United Kingdom and abroad, from small extensions to substantial interior refurbishment and re-modelling, including retail and furniture design. Whether one project is an opportunity to celebrate the ordinary or, vice versa, the extraordinary, is the consistent approach in resolving our clients‘ ambitions and the complexity or simplicity of their brief - regardless of size and budget -, that has become the starting point of an ongoing research into the rituals of the inhabitation of domestic and urban spaces. A sense of movement, rotation and dynamism is often found in most of our projects, being they public, commercial, residential, follies or temporary structures and installations. We strongly believe that a space with dynamic qualities can enhance people‘s spirit and contribute to engage with the space that they use. We obtain this by a clever and careful arrangement of the spaces, by activating the senses, or via a physical interaction with the elements that inform each and every one of our projects. The opportunity, over the years, to design spaces or objects in environments with very diverse characteristics - and in different countries around the world - has enriched our approach to design. Each project becomes a unique opportunity to investigate how to resolve and engage with a comprehensive variety of briefs.

We had to renovate our kitchen and bathroom, and a friend highly recommended Francesco Pierazzi, and she was right! Francesco is extremely available and patient; during our numerous meetings he listened to what we wanted, developed a clear vision of the project and worked with us to find the best solution to our requests. During the project he was present and supportive. He has a profound understanding of materials and a strong sense of space and light. To achieve what we wanted, he came up with ideas which were creative, sensitive, practical and pleasant to the eye, yet never banal. Plus we finished within budget, which always helps! Everyone who has seen our new kitchen and bathroom is very complimentary – they can’t help but notice the quality of his work and attention to detail. During our meetings we had the opportunity to get to know Francesco beyond the architect: he is a warm, kind person and, between taking technical decisions, we enjoyed talking about exhibitions, books and food - who doesn’t like porcini mushrooms? We just can’t recommend Francesco highly enough!

Francesco was a pleasure to work with and did a wonderful job on our extension and garage conversion. Every little detail was beautifully thought through, and we now have a living space which is incredibly practical (for the demands of a young family) and looks great too. Francesco made what could have been a stressful process straightforward.

Francesco was recommended by my daughter, for whom he had worked on her house in Pimlico. We needed some work done prior to putting our (period) house on the market. Having had other experiences with architects we were immediately struck how Francesco LISTENED to what we wanted and didn’t try and force any pre-conceived ideas onto us – whilst making very welcome gentle suggestions. All his ideas were spot-on and we were delighted with the result and hope to work with him on our new home. His strengths are making the most of the light coming in to house – opening and brightening every thing up. He is also a genius at making the most of the space available, making the most of what is there (which is what we wanted) rather than suggest drastic (and expensive) options. However, if a drastic overhaul is needed (as was the case with my daughter), he is also up for that! Francesco was also a delight to work with – very responsive and understanding of the brief (both practical and financial). Nothing (however trivial) was too much trouble. I can’t recommend him highly enough.

I very much like his designs and the way he is able to transform the spaces he works with. Francesco designed and project managed the build of a large modern extension for me. His design met the brief perfectly (lots of light, clearly defined and functional areas (kitchen, sitting areas, dining area, shower, new entrance)). He used natural materials to create a dynamic and interesting space, flooded with light. The design also matched the features of the existing property, which we upgraded and there is now a real wow factor. The work was done to a very high standard on time (completed April 2019). Francesco also advised regarding interior design. I have no hesitation in recommending him.

Unlike others Francesco showed interest and enthusiasm in my home on first sight and was soon drawing concepts of the possibilities. Hence my decision to hire him was an easy one and have never had the slightest doubt about this decision. Francesco convinced me that as well as a functional home for my lifestyle, I could also have a distinctive stylish home as well. His ability to envisage the completed living spaces he designs amaze me. I have only ever found myself in the position of hiring an architect once in my life, but friends have are amazed by the detail on Francesco's plans and staggered by the other things he does way beyond what is normally expected by an architect. His professionalism and dedication to the project has also earned him the respect of other professionals working on site which all helps the project run smoothly towards a very satisfactory conclusion.

Francesco is an exceptional architect who I would strongly recommend to others. I engaged Francesco to design and manage major renovations to my Grade II Listed home. Some key points are: - Excellent customer focus: Francesco took time to understand my requirements and personal style. Francesco has a rare ability to take someone's vague ideas then transform and enhance them into a clear vision. - Quality of designs: Franscesco's designs were innovative and original. Every room in the house has a "talking point" which garners compliments from visitors. - Helpful, beyond architecture: Francesco consistently goes above and beyond his role as architect offering advice on interior design and even giving up weekends to visit furniture stores to help ensure the final outcome is perfect. - Calm & Friendly: Francesco's experience and calm demeanour during the (few) more stressful periods of the built was invaluable to me. If you are looking for a high quality, passionate and committed architect then I would recommend Francesco without hesitation.

Honestly, if you need an architect, Francesco is the one. His approach is candid and intuitive and he has great vision. I couldn’t have been more impressed when we used his services recently for our kitchen extension and re-design project. We started with a large but awkward space and we really didn’t know how to achieve the family kitchen / dining layout we wanted within the space we had. We initially spoke to a couple of kitchen designers but no-one had the vision to see what Francesco saw, he made suggestions that we hadn’t even considered and once we spoke to him we knew immediately that we were on the right path. We are so happy with the finished project – with Francesco’s help we now have the kitchen and dining / living space we always wanted. His ideas for colour, finish and design have been perfect every time. He has the great skill of listening to what you want and making it happen, all the time keeping everything within the project balanced. He listened to our suggestions every time and came up with clear and detailed solutions that made sense and kept our kitchen functional but also aesthetically beautiful. I would highly recommend.

Francesco has redesigned my 2-bedroom Victorian flat with garden in London. I knew he is a brilliant architect, so I trusted him completely and I have no regrets. He has excellent design ideas, but also attention to practicality, which is important for those who end up living in the property. His patience and willingness to explain / talk me through the process and potential solutions has alleviated the stress when "surprises" happen (they always do with Victoria houses). His knowledge and attention to detail is second to none. Finally, he is a good laugh and has a great sense of humour, which is always helpful when dealing with this type of projects. I cant recommend him highly enough!

We first used Francesco Pierazzi Architects in 2014, when he undertook the design and management of a Utility/ shower room extension. Four years down the line I am just as happy with the outcome as I was then. I therefore asked Francesco to design my kitchen and again to manage the project using the same builders. The project included two new doors and a new extractor duct to the outside. I am delighted with the result and will certainly use him again in any future projects. Francesco has a wonderful ‘eye’ and a clear vision of what can be achieved. Although he has strong opinions he listens and suggests sensible alternatives, putting forward design ideas that one could never think of oneself. He understands materials and fitments and works very well with the builders to allow their input as well. And I also agree with other reviewers, a strong sense of light. Input worth every penny!

We have worked with Francesco and his team on a number of his London based projects and have always been very impressed by his stunning designs. Francesco has such an excellent understanding of materials, textures and the spaces they occupy that the final blend is always both unique and outstanding. As cabinet makers, we enjoy working with new challenges, the tenacious direction and open practical design attitude from FPA is refreshing to say the least. We very much look forward to our next project.
