About Us

Ian Garrett Building Design is a family-run Architectural and Building consultancy practice based on the east coast of Suffolk, in the seaside town of Lowestoft. We have been an operating Architectural practice since 1987 which enables us to offer our clients a wealth of experience in all aspects of the building industry. Our experience ranges across different environments, building types and construction methods to suit the ever changing construction industry. To work closely with our clients to achieve their goals that both they and ourselves are proud of. We have the ability and continue to work on a variety of projects which range from small house extensions up to new build care homes and everything in between. Ian produced the plans and building specifications for our new self build home. Ian and Kyle were very supportive and provided much expert advice during our build. We were very pleased with their services and instructed them to then produce plans for our daughters development which saw them double the size of their home. They are very professional, approachable and responsive. We would fully recommend their services

Gilbert Builders have been working with Ian & Kyle for several years now on several projects ranging from a few thousand to £1,000,00.00 in the commercial and domestic market. Ian and Kyle have been involved in our development side with cutting edge designs, prominent designs to which any changes, additions are never a problem still delivering on time, on budget. They are both very professional in their approach to ourselves and clients and would always recommend their services.

I would 100% recommend this professional to others.When I embarked on my long and interesting adventure of building myself a new house I employed Ian Garrett Design to project manage the planning process and the build. The build was easy compared to the planning process but on both counts I received superb back up from Ian and his team, professional at all times,nothing seemed to phase them, and if they didn't know where to source something, they would pretty soon find it. So if I was ever to build another house or indeed need assistance with any building project, I would be straight back to them, as i not only trust them, but they are awfully nice chaps.
