John Botham Architect

John acted as our architect when we renovated a small 17th Century farmhouse. We found it easy to have a dialogue with John about our thoughts for the house and he helped us understand the possibilities and also the limitations of our vision. Most importantly, John was able to suggest new ideas and enable us to imagine living in the house at a time when it was still derelict. The house is a listed building and John completed all the relevant paperwork and offered invaluable advice regarding materials and finishes which were in keeping with this and produced a design which satisfied both ourselves and the planning department. We would have no hesitation in recommending John.

John designed our three car garage and car barn in 2016 he also designed a small extension at the front of the house which together with a clever drive and garden layout completely changed the appearance of our house. John is easy to work with, he listens to what you want/need/like then comes back with something way beyond your expectations. John is now working on an Orangery, rear extension, gym and complete garden redesign and I know that when it is finished it will be another terrific job.
