I had Joe design my loft conversion for my home, and his level of detail and space that he created was amazing. He was on hand to answer any technical questions for my builders and was there until the end of the project. I would recommend Joe to my family and friends.

We really cannot recommend Joe Williams at JW Bespoke highly enough, not just as an architect but also as a person. He is thoroughly committed and invested in the projects he takes on and makes himself available to his clients with sound advice. He is also a voice of calm and wisdom in what can become a very stressful time when undertaking a building project. He is not only thoroughly professional but a great guy who really listened and understood our vision, especially as our main brief was not to have a ‘box stuck on the end of our house’. We chose him for his design style but got so much more than that. Since we have finished our build, we have had so many positive comments and numerous people asking who the architect was!

We feel very lucky to have found Joe. We bought a 2 bed house, with the aim of extending to add two bedrooms and a large kitchen/ diner. From the start, we felt Joe was a good fit for us. He is young, enthusiastic and has a wealth of building experience. He has great ideas, but also listens to what you want. We felt it was a very collaborative process, which was really important to us. He brought little moments of magic to the project, things that we wouldn’t have come up with ourselves, but absolutely love. He was always easy to get hold of and sent plans through very quickly. We have no reservation in recommending him 100%.

Meeting and appointing Joe as the architect on our renovation project has been one of (if not the) best decisions we made. We’d never undertaken anything of this nature, size and scale before and Joe was supportive, patient, insightful and inspiring throughout. Not only did he listen to our brief and ideas, he created a masterful design that gave us everything we wanted within budget. He also charmed the local planning department, securing planning permission with ease despite the restrictions associated with a conservation area. We decided to take advantage of Joe’s additional snagging service to keep him involved throughout the build. And we’re so pleased we did. Joe consistently went over and above, whether on last minute site visits, helping us order materials at the right time, recommending suppliers or even tweaking dimensions to our ensuite to ensure the perfect finish. Joe’s given us the beautiful family home we’ve always wanted and we can’t recommend him highly enough.

Outstanding experience Joe from JW:Bespoke designed us a rear kitchen/dining extension and remodelled the downstairs of our house. We now have a transformed family home, with wow factor, that we love. Working with Joe was one of the best parts of the project. From the quality of the initial designs, to navigating the approvals process and the ultra conservative planners in Welwyn Garden City, to tendering for builders and troubleshooting throughout the build, including over lockdown, being on hand to advise on interior design and materials, his service was to an incredibly high standard. He even came over one Saturday morning after the build to get us started putting up brick slips on our dining room wall, which we wanted to do ourselves. I totally recommend JW:Bespoke and have no doubt that the success of our project was in a large part because of Joe's skill, communication and passion from start to finish.

On this project, Joe was our architect and was hired to create some technical designs and take us through all planning application processes. Further to these things he became a reliable connection for finding contractors to complete the work - putting us in touch with the builder and project manager who oversaw the work - as well as an advisor on the interior design as and when we had questions or were unsure on anything. Beyond being a fantastic professional and completing everything we asked of him to a very high standard (no one could be left with any questions after looking at his technical drawings) and in a timely manner, Joe always made himself available to us to ask our questions and guide us through the process. This was invaluable to us as this was the first building project that we had undertaken: we were armed with a lot of questions. Joe came with a lot of great ideas for how we could make changes to our home but remained respectful to our wishes throughout and we never felt uncomfortable discussing any changes with him. Thankfully, all of our planning applications went through without any trouble and we suspect Joe was key to this given how thorough he was in everything else he did. As an individual, Joe was a delight to talk to, and as a professional, we couldn't be more pleased with the end result. We would not hesitate to work with him again - in fact, we look forward to doing so.

Easily 5 stars. Joe has been amazing throughout our project. He came up with a design that maximized the space in ways we wouldn't have thought of and helped us create a home that we love and are proud of, and that really works for us. Joe was on hand from start to finish, from obtaining planning permissions which he made seem like a breeze, to dealing with builders, building control and all the things that could have gone wrong (as well as the odd pep talk when the reno life got tough), and his advice throughout has been spot on. Always easy to talk to and get hold of, amazing ideas, great attention to detail, definitely wouldn't have got it finished (or even started) without him. Highly recommend.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Joe, he has been a pleasure to work with from when we first met and throughout our build. When we met Joe, we knew he was the right person to appoint. He took his time to understand what we wanted to achieve from our extension and incorporated his own ideas to give us the most amazing design. I am so pleased with what we have achieved and feel had we not appointed him our design would not have met our initial requirements or expectation. Our build, like most was quite stressful but Joe was always available to respond to our concerns whether that was via email/whatsapp or over the phone to offer his advice/guidance in a personable manner. We would fully recommend Joe's additional service of regular site visits, as we found this very valuable throughout the build. Joe not only provides guidance and knowledge during the build, but also gave interior decoration ideas that we may not have thought about ourselves..

Joe designed our kitchen extension in 2019 and the build was completed in early 2020. From start to finish Joe was excellent. He listened to the styles we liked and shared lots of ideas that would fit with the mid century style we love. He was also great at keeping our plans within our budget and suggesting ways of achieving the look we wanted within our budget. Having built his own house, Joe is very good at the costs of everything and this really helped plan out a build that didn’t have nasty cost surprises later. Joe then handled all the planning and building control processes so that meant less stress for us. And then he handled the builders which again took away a lot of the stress from us. We are so pleased with the finished product - the design really stands out and makes the box on the back of our house not look just like any other box - this is a little bit of mid century architecture blended perfectly onto our 2005 home. We love it. Highly recommend Joe-he’s brilliant!

The key to any successful project is finding the right people and Joe of Bespoke Architecture and Bespoke Design is most certainly one of these. Joe provided help, advice and inspired ideas which were brought to life by his detailed and accurate technical drawings accompanied by computer graphics allowing us to plan our desired space at a much more granular level. Joe advised best of product materials and suppliers for our build and was pivotal in translating our chosen design to our appointed builders through out the project. Joe always placed our needs first, delivered at each project Mile stone, was on budget and undoubtedly help raise our random ideas into a wonderful, contemporary building whilst optimising the limited space we had available. I have no hesitation in recommending Joe and his company and I guarantee you will not regret appointing them, we were thrilled with the final design and the overall service provided.
