Knight Gratrix was founded in 2000 by Tim Knight and Steve Gratrix on the principles of quality of design, responsibility to the community and value for money and integrity to their clients. The built environment effects and informs our quality of life and sense of community and the buildings we produce have a direct impact on users and viewers alike. By engaging with the users, the community and financier, it is possible to create exciting eloquent architecture for the enjoyment and utilisation of all. Knight Gratrix have a wide ranging diverse client base and works within the residential, commercial, industrial and leisure sectors. The practice receives a large proportion of repeat work and is retained by a number of commercial clients to undertake commissions on their behalf. The practice has a well established reputation for producing challenging, visually creative architecture that is both pragmatic and commercially viable. The practice principals believe firmly in providing full architectural services from the inception of a project through to completion on site and hand-over. Continuity is paramount and the ability to deliver a finished building within time and budget constraints is a skill in itself. Knight Gratrix takes a proactive role in leading the design team ensuring a close working relationship between Architect, Client, Consultants and Contractor.
