I feel I must provide some feedback for the services provided by Lawrence King (LK) on the garden room extension I have had recently constructed. LK provided help through the entire process, from concept, design, planning, construction and project completion. This was done with considerable scope creep, totally down to ourselves wishing to tweak and add requirements through this process. Something I would have been unhappy with in my own profession. This was all managed by Stuart who provided an attentive and professional approach at all times. This helped to protect us and remove any unnecessary stress from a process that I was quite unfamiliar with. We are very satisfied with the end product albeit with a few snagging issues that Stuart has successfully and actively managed. In summary I am more than happy to recommend LK and Stuart as architects and project managers and anyone is welcome to see our wonderful new extension (daughter permitting who is now living in the property).

Stuart from Lawrence King Architects worked on a total renovation of a very dated and large 2 bedroom/1 bathroom Victorian maisonette. My brief for the project was make better use of the large 2 storey space to turn it into a bright, modern and spacious 3 bedroom property with 2 new bathrooms, utility room and large open plan living/dining/ kitchen space for entertaining. He has been very helpful, professional and knowledgeable in giving advice on how to best maximize the usable floor space while also guiding me through the cost implications of different options. Most importantly he was always very patient in designing different layout options for consideration and helping me to visualize the end product. I enjoyed being involved through the process of design and construction and the end result is a fantastic new place that I love. I would highly recommend Stuart to anyone looking for very creative but also well-grounded ideas on how best to improve and transform their old house into a new home.

I highly recommend Stuart King at Lawrence King Architects. Stuart and his team were excellent with the design, planning application to the local council and managing the construction process for the refurbishment and alterations to our Grade 2 historically listed building. Working with an important old existing building had many unforeseen issues which Stuart always resolved with appropriate and good solutions, whilst also dealing with very demanding stakeholders. Stuart kept to our agreed fixed budget and timeline and has since assisted us on a number of smaller projects. We also look forward to having him involved in an upcoming exciting new project planned for the very near future.

Stuart was very knowledgeable and capable at steering the transformation of our clunky old Victorian property into a contemporary home whilst working around complex and stringent regulations. Where Stuart’s skill really added incredible value was in making great recommendations on how best to design the space to create a comfortable and tasteful house well suited to our needs. He'd carefully listen to our brief, ask the right questions and make clever suggestions that we had never considered. We had an 'idea' of what we wanted but the result is 10 times better! We are very happy that we followed Stuart's great advice for our home that is not only architecturally beautiful but now really works for all of us. Needless to say, refurbishing a house can be a stressful process and Stuart helped us navigated it with calm, patience and good humour from start to finish. Without Stuart’s help we would never have navigated our way through the vagaries of listed building consent. The designs were very helpful in visualising what the end result would look like. Stuart is a complete and very talented professional. Our project was a total renovation on a Grade 2 listed residence. He handled the extremely complicated planning approvals, and worked daily with our contractor to ensure all was correct. His architectural plan for our home was exactly what we wanted and needed.
