Founded by Mark Wiffen in 2010, a qualified Architectural Technician with extensive experience in the construction industry, Marlin Design specialises in providing architectural design services to homeowners in Hertfordshire & London. Through all our projects, we will look after you from instruction to start on site and provide you with a full set of approved documentation, enabling contractors to provide a fixed price quotation, based on approved designs. Our Architectural Design service encompasses a complete planning application service, including feasibility studies, architectural design, planning applications, drawing services and building regulations applications. Typical projects range from loft conversions and house extensions, to larger commercial and new build housing developments. We have a very comprehensive knowledge of quality, yet affordable products and can approach projects with a commercially and financially astute mindset and strive to create the most valuable Architectural design achievable for a project. During the design process it is a good idea to engage the services of an Interior Designer, and our inhouse Designer, is available to assist with your project on a full design/supervision basis on to present mood boards on a room by room basis. After contacting Mark from MARLIN Designs with regards to a single story extension on our home, he was able to take our ideas and dreams and turn them into reality. Mark has taken us from design to build to completion with ease, even carrying out all of the necessary paperwork with planning applications and structural calculations to make our build go as smooth as possible. Single storey kitchen/diner with bi-fold doors

Marlin Design helped us achieve the extra space that we needed for our family. In particular we achieved a result which wasn't just a box on back of the house but a fantastic space for eating/cooking/sitting - its become the new hub of our home. Marlin Design were on hand to answer any queries we had throughout the process from drawing up plans, building regulations and getting the final sign off. Would throughly recommend.

As a building contractor, when I recommend an architect to my clients it needs to be someone I can trust who's professionalism will in turn reflect well on me. Mark and his team are outstanding in their field, the care and attention to detail they put into their work is second to none. I've seen drawings and specifications from hundreds of different architects over the years and I've never seen the amount of detail put into them that Marlin Design do. This in turn allows me to give a more accurate quotation, the client knows exactly what they are getting and I know exactly what I'm building. Great service from Mark, i would highly recommend anyone considering getting professional drawings for your house extensions to use Marlin Designs, not only did they delivered on time but on budget, Mark was always on the other end of the telephone to answer any queries you may have. I found Mark to be very professional and easy to work with throughout the process, I would definitely recommend his services to anyone.
