About Us

Mother Architects is a small Architectural practice based in the market town of Caistor, in the Lincolnshire Wolds. We currently have clients down in London and up in the Scottish borders, so don't feel we are constrained to Lincolnshire. The team is dead simple - just Jo as Principle Architect and Director, Sam as Practice Director and Abi as CAD Queen. We do everything you would expect an architectural practice to do, from planning applications and drawings to master-planning and interior design. We are just as happy doing a small single-storey extension to an existing property as we are working on a 30 plot housing scheme. This company combines all that is best when professional architects are needed. Innovative ideas, sensitivity to clients needs, budget awareness and the personal touch are integral to their ethos. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Mother Architects have a great team with strong attention to detail and practicalities. In addition to creative design, they consider the most practical and cost effective methods to achieve the client's desired outcomes. Jo is also very much focussed on how the property will sit within its surroundings and ensuring that there is a strong connection to the natural world outside from inside the property.

Mother Architects designed our extension in 2019-2020. We are absolutely thrilled with it. Th communication was great, the designs were produced promptly. Everyone was very approachable and extremely friendly. I would definitely recommend Mother Architects.

Worked with Mother Architects on a singular development in North Kelsey. Their service was top notch. Jo, Sam & the team worked swiftly to come up with super ideas to maximise the sites potential. The site sat on a prominent corner of the village & caused quite a stir when a planning application was received. Lots of letters were received by the local planning authority from local concerns. Mother had already prepared the planning application documents to head off any concerns & the application went through on Planning offices delegated decision. Seamless process from instructing Mother Architects to give initial ideas, formalising planning permission application, providing building regs & clearing of planning permission conditions. We engaged Mother architects to help us with planning for 7 bungalows, which was granted. They were always there when required for advice/help and if any questions or issues were raised by planning they were there straight away to answer/resolve any problems. We've used Mother Architects for several jobs in the past and always been 100% happy with their work. Currently they are helping us with planning and design for a 3 car garage block with a 2 bedroom flat above. As always we're super happy with the designs and options they produced. Very happy to recommend them.

We approached Mother Architects to help us transform an abandoned windmill. The ideas and time they have taken to get our plans right have been wonderful. Jo is the creative engine in thier practice and Sam is incredibly busy transforming 2 dimensional creative ideas into 3 dimensional reality. Fresh, interesting, realistic ideas and an approachable response to our needs are the keystones to their success. Highly recommended.
