Mullally Architecture and Design are an RIBA Chartered Architecture practice, based in Broadstairs and working across Kent, London and the South East. Established in 2019, by Chartered Architect Tom Mullally (RIBA ARB), we provide our design and consultation expertise to clients across a wide range of sectors. From architectural design and feasibility studies, to project management and planning consultation, we offer all of our clients innovative ideas and pragmatic responses to ensure they get the very best from their projects. We guide our clients through the lifespan of their project; from concept to successful completion, working closely with contractors and consultants and offering flexible fee appointments to help our clients manage their costs. We believe that with professionalism, hard work & creative thinking, every project can be given the lasting legacy that it deserves.

Tom is organised, punctual, helpful and fun to work with. It was the first time for us to undertake a large construction project on our house (loft conversion), and I can't image how we could have done without Tom. He is also very keen on eco-friendly style of architecture. He gave us a lot of interesting ideas of how we can manage the construction with sustainable and ecological resources within our badget. We would highly recommend him.

We were delighted with the work provided by Tom at MAAD. He understood exactly what we wanted to achieve with a downstairs renovation to include open plan kitchen/diner, pantry, utility room and downstairs toilet and shower. A smaller upstairs project was also drawn up. Tom took us through a successful planning application. Tom was quick to respond to any queries. We highly recommend MAAD and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again in the future should the need arise.

I can't rate Thomas highly enough and after a previous experience with lack luster unenthusiastic architect my faith in the profession has been totally restored. Thomas is diligent, professional and full of new innovative ideas. His enthusiasm whilst working on our project was only matched by his tenacity when dealing with local council planning officials and navigating his way through the abundance of official planning correspondence needed theses days . Thomas was able to secure us planning permission for our project and has supported us at every stage throughout this process to where we can now instruct building contractors. He explains the whole process in easy to understand terminology and is a quick to respond to questions and queries whenever they arise. I can highly recommend Thomas Mullally and will be keen to use his services again in the future for further upcoming projects.

Our kitchen was a particularly difficult project. We had met a number of architects and some ran from the idea. Other ideas didn't suit or seemed unworkable. From contacting Tom to the beautiful finished product we have felt nothing but assured and confident that we had chosen the right architect. He took time to understand us, the funky layout of our kitchen and realised a plan that has been truly life changing. That he was on hand to deal with any issues that cropped up was an added bonus. We couldn't recommend Tom and MAD enough. Thanks so much Tom, we'll let you take the photo's. We know we won't do it justice!

Mullally Architecture and Design designed a front veranda for me, a first for my area of London. They took care of all planning requirements and oversaw the construction. They are a creative yet practical in design and a friendly, approachable and thoroughly professional firm. I hope for an opportunity to work with Tom again and recommend his firm 100%.

Thomas prepared drawings and input for the renovation of a flat in Broadstairs. This required the removal of an internal brick wall, construction of stud partioning to create a corridor to avoid walking through one room to access the kitchen. Soundproofing of two rooms and necessary electrics. Thomas recommended the builders, gave me advice on serving third party notices, compliance with latest building regulations, arranged the structural engineer and liaised with them and building control at Thanet Council. Thomas is enthusiastic and passionate about his job; he provided me with help and support which was invaluable as this was a second property and is fifty miles from my main residence.

We tried submitting our own application to Thanet District Council for planning consent in order for us to comply with local conservation area status. We soon realised it wasn't as easy as that and at really short notice we asked MAAD to help us out. Within a couple of days, Tom visited us, drew up the plans, completed all the necessary statements and took care of submitting them all on our behalf and being point of contact for TDC. Full approval received at first time of asking and thats all down to the work of MAAD. Would recommend MAAD services in a heartbeat and will definitely use them for anything else we need.

My husband and I had the opportunity to collaborate with Mullally Architecture and Design this year on a loft conversion and garden extension project in London and we highly recommend his services. Tom was terrific to work with, he patiently collaborated with us to transform our requirements and ideas into inspiring and detailed specifications. We want to say a big 'thank you' to Tom for all the time, energy and enthusiasm he put into meeting with us and developing our proposal. Tom is definitely a professional who is truly interested in the best outcomes for his clients. We will definitely be using him again in the future!!

Thomas is a highly qualified architect with proven expertise. Very responsive and supportive throughout my project, making me comfortable in considering the best options. He is very focused and energetic with the authorities on achieving the targeted planning consents and building control certificates. In addition, his fees are reasonable, best value service you may find.

Tom and I collaborated on multiple residential developments across London. He is passionate about architecting effective designs that look amazing and at the same time are efficient and easy to use. He is an architect who understands and works with the building structure and not against it which results in more cost effective project. Tom helped us to redesign our hallway and office. This included setting up a visit from a structural engineer as we were taking down a wall. He came up with great ideas on how to use our space better and drew up technical drawings and came up with boards to help us understand what we were looking for. He then introduced us to multiple builders and attended the meetings. Tom was always easily contactable and changed our design multiple times to help us get our costs to a level we were happy with.

Tom was incredibly professional and helpful, right from the off with a great design, delivered quickly, finding excellent gardeners/ workmen, liaising with them, checking on progress, dealing with Covid ups and downs and delays, supporting me through the process and keeping in touch constantly.
