We tracked down Patrick after stumbling across some of his work online, and I’m so glad that detective work paid off. From our very first interaction, Patrick put us completely at ease. His professionalism, combined with a friendly candour, makes him an absolute pleasure to work with. Our project was a full turnkey, back‑to‑brick renovation: side and rear extensions, a loft build‑out, extensive remodelling across every floor, staircase relocation, plus an outbuilding- the lot. The planning process was complex, but Patrick proved himself to be one of the safest pairs of hands I’ve ever worked with in the construction space. We knew very quickly that he was the right person for the job. From navigating objections to liaising seamlessly with planning officers, he was exceptional throughout. I have no doubt that, had we worked with a different architect, we simply wouldn’t be living in our dream home today. Patrick is a consummate professional who takes enormous pride in his work, but most importantly, he listens. He doesn’t push his own design agenda; instead, he collaborates with you, offers invaluable nuggets of advice, and draws on an enviable black book of industry professionals to deliver the best possible outcome. Working with Patrick has exceeded all our expectations. From day one Patrick brought a real sense of calm to the process. Working through the various designs has not been rushed. We were encouraged to take our time, iterate the designs together, and focus on the quality of the finish. Even last-minute changes or rethinks from us were not a problem and Patrick has been quick to come back with revisions or recommendations. The net result has been a planning approval that has been remarkably stress free and given us a set of plans that will create the house design of our dreams!

Patrick was simply superb from start to finish. From the first phone call through to project completion, he was an incredibly creative, competent, and calmly reassuring partner. He instantly understood both our functional needs and our aesthetic aspirations, helping us to create a dynamic yet calming space for our growing family. He intuitively knew when to push us out of our comfort zone vs when to give way. He guided us through the boring bits - gaining planning permission without a hitch, tendering for contractors (and matching us with someone brilliant) - and indulged us in all the fun choices along the way. The result is absolutely fabulous - beyond our original expectations - and we would love to do it all again if we could.

Patrick recently secured planning permission for our rear & side extension. This was no easy feat given we’re in a conservation area, have a unique plot on the road, and had had previous proposals submitted by another architect rejected. We had anticipated the road to approval to be bumpy with potential increased costs, but Patrick’s well considered proposals were very much liked and, consequently, we got the green light first time round. Delighted!

We worked with Patrick for almost two years, all the way from the initial concept stage of our renovation to the project management of the work. It was an absolute joy to work with him throughout the whole process and I wouldn't hesitate to work with him again or recommend him to our family and friends. Patrick guided us through the process in a very thoughtful way, taking into account our ideas and what we wanted to achieve but also pushed us to think outside the box. I never realised how technical the build process was going to be and I'm so thankful that Patrick was there every step of the way, guiding our builder on the technical details but also working with me on the various design elements to make sure the finished look was spectacular. Anyone who has done a renovation before will know the infinite number of decisions that need to be made, Patrick helped make that easy, sharing from his experience and narrowing down the choices in a number of areas like doors, skirting etc. He also has a great eye for detail and his design choices were similar to mine so he was a great sounding board for me through out the process. We've just completed phase one and we are over the moon with the end result and we couldn't have done it without Partick - Huge thanks and can't wait to continue with phase 2

Patrick was instrumental at every stage of our project and was a pleasure to work with throughout. From working through initial designs, to helping source contractors, suppliers and direct materials, he was always readily available to meet or talk through our choices and the inevitable changes that are required mid-build. Patrick used his knowledge and experience to illustrate what works best and used real life practical examples of other projects to help us visualise what would be best for us. His clever use of space coupled with the practicality of liveable design has left us with a home that is both striking, yet functional. Patrick @ Patrick & Rosie designed and supervised the complete refurbishment of our flat. His work and the quality of his engagement were of the highest quality. He helped us identify suitable builders and suppliers and provided a very transparent and flexible budget. Throughout the work, he kept us fully informed of the progress, advised us on and resolved issues as they arouse (it was a very old flat!) and carefully monitored the expenses v.s. our initial quote. We could not have asked for a better support. I particularly appreciated his readiness to strongly defend our interest when interacting with the suppliers and builders. This wasnt your usual brief given we had bought a mid century ex council house with a cone shaped garden. It became obvious to us pretty instantly that Patrick's design ethic and ideas completely chimed with what we wanted. We met with a lot of architects before choosing to work with Patrick. He was very creative at the planning stage whilst also ensuring we stuck to our budget and the local planning regs. I would highly recommend Patrick and wouldn’t hesitate to use him for another project.

Patrick designed and managed our very complex build and we could not be happier with the end results. From the very start Patrick provided ideas for our complex basement and first floor redevelopment advising on what was feasible and also dealing with our many changes that we needed to incorporate. Patrick managed all the submissions with Hounslow council and acted as contract administrator taking care of all the administrative activities that would otherwise have been impossible for us to manage. We now have an amazing living space for us all to enjoy and this would not have been the case without the diligent attention to detail from Patrick and his persistence in seeing all the design, approval and building activities If you use Patrick + Rosie for you end to end design together with the tradesmen that they know you will not regret this decision

We loved working with Patrick on our renovation. He understood our brief and we hardly had to change his initial suggestions as he’d incorporated all the elements we’d asked for and more! He also introduced us to our builders and had very helpful suggestions on suppliers etc. He took the stress out of a very large project and the end result is stunning
