When we engaged Paul, we already had a lot of ideas of our own, having drawn up floor plans and created some basic models. Paul was brilliant at taking these ideas on board, whilst bringing his own creativity, knowledge, experience and attention to detail to the project. Paul made some great improvements to our original floor plans, whilst very much retaining the essence of our design. Paul then presented a number of options for the exterior design of the house, taking into consideration everything from our preferred styles of architecture to practicalities such as the leaves generated by the large number of tall deciduous trees overhanging the plot. The striking appearance of the property is entirely down to Paul's artistic fair and creativity. Paul supported us very well during our planning application. Some of the proposed materials in our design were originally rejected, but Paul presented counterarguments to the planners, which they accepted, allowing us to achieve the appearance we wanted. As we progressed through detailed design, Paul continued to be a pleasure to work with. We always felt involved, listened to and in control of the design, whilst Paul made sure the structural details were taken care of and steered us through those aesthetic choices that we struggled to visualise.

I was , and continue to be thrilled with my extension which houses my new kitchen and dining room. From my very basic ideas Paul elevated the design to a whole new level, considering everything from the way we wanted to live in the space, the practical consideration in a kitchen (including the desired appliances) and the aesthetics both internally and externally. Where I had started with a very practical extension, with Paul's design I ended up with a truly beautiful space. His input on everything from the roof design to the windows to the layout of the space and how it would blend with the existing structure was creative and practical. The resulting space has quite literally changed the way we live as a family. We now all congregate in the kitchen area, socialising while cooking. Everyone in the house (including teenage children) enjoy cooking familiy meals and we tend to stay together in the space talking and relaxing after the meal is over and we are all cleaned up. Can not thank Paul and my builders enough. D
