I used the services of Steve Scrimshaw of sAs to undertake the task of drawing up plans for planning permission and building regulations approval for my double story extension build project. His past experience as a builder meant that he was fully knowledgable of all aspects of construction and so was able to offer great advice which assisted in the development of my project plans. Nothing was too much trouble for Steve and he produced several project options so that I could get estimates from builders before I made the final decisions concerning the proposed extension. He was always professional, friendly, informative and prompt in all our communications. His expertise meant that all plans were approved with no problems. Builders have commented when i have been seeking quotes that the plans were clearly written. I would highly recommend Steve to anyone looking to undertake a building project.

Steve is very responsive and worked very well with me. He was prepared to explain the entire process - from planning right up to some details about project execution when asked. He helped tremendously with the ardous and unenviable cat and mouse game of chasing Nottingham City Council for planning permission. As I undertook to put together the contract and manage the project, he helped me with the technical specification of the build and willingly gave me some pointers on technical matters during project execution. I could trust his impartial advice during project execution. His cost is both reasonable and competitive.

Working with this architect was excellent and enabled us to achieve the specific style we has in mind. He was flexible in understanding our aspirations and seek to deliver these, use space most effectively and meet legal requirements. He was conscious of both his and the build cost so helped by advising on this aspect. He provided options and sample drawings that helped us home in on the final outcome. He stayed in touch and advised the builder where helpful. We look forward to working with him again.

Work requested was completed within a short timescale. Always responded to questions asked and helped us through the process with minimum fuss.

Steve delivered a terrific project for us. Initially I thought Steve had totally misunderstood our brief and wondered if we would be able to achieve our vision of our completed property. However, after some fairly frank discussions during which Steve patiently explained that it was not at all unusual for the client to disagree with the proposal, we worked together to produce what I can only describe as our 'dream home'.
