Anya designed and project managed an extension to our home. The initial brief was to create a large space to house sports gear , our dog and utilities. Anya patiently advised as we moved from this to a large kitchen creating for us a large living area which we love. Anya has great ideas & vision for the end product and what the client needs. Her client care is excellent. Anya also managed the relationship with our builders proficiently ensuring that they worked to the design & if there were changes proposed these were explored and discussed with us. From our first conversation with Anya (Studio AWA) we felt in very safe, professional hands discussing our ideas to extend our family home. Anya is an experienced, creative and very detailed focussed architect who understands making the most out of space, light and function. She was very committed to achieve a design solution that met our brief and her excellent technical drawings provided a very clear framework for the builder. We opted for Anya’s premium package, which included Project Management throughout the build. This turned out to be essential as Anya was hands on, working closely with our builder, in tackling some of the site issues which occur when interfacing with an existing older building. We are delighted with our completed extension (functional as well as stylish) and is even better than we had hoped.

We had a very positive engagement with Anya from the very first meeting. It was clear from then that she works in a highly organised and meticulous way, evidenced by the quick approval of our Plans. Throughout the project, deadlines were always met and her detailed minuting of everything kept us informed and gave us confidence. Anya is adaptable, perceptive and definitely creative, she is open to trying different ideas and quickly working up and implementing any adjustments needed. We felt supported throughout the time and we appreciated her hands on approach. (we had opted for Anya's premium service but she has other options for clients who want to be more involved).

Studio AWA recently designed and project-managed the renovation of our house. The brief was to open up the ground floor to let in more natural light, and to make more efficient use of the living space. Studio AWA spent a significant amount of time at the outset of the project speaking to us to better understand our desired outcome and getting an understanding of our style preferences. This time was invaluable as it allowed Studio AWA to suggest ideas that we had not considered and which had a huge impact on the finished product. This included enlarging and adding additional windows, and inserting large sliding glass doors at the rear of the house. Studio AWA also provided kitchen and bathroom design services for us and, based on the high quality of this work, we asked for additional interior design help. Studio AWA provided a comprehensive service which included the selection and hiring of the quantity surveyor, engineers and building contractor, and full supervision and coordination of all the works. We were given regular updates on progress throughout. We are really happy with the finished product which has met the objectives of our brief and gone some way beyond. Our home has been transformed to provide us with a more modern, brighter, open plan living space. We would be happy to recommend Studio AWA to anyone.
