Jonny was our architect for alternations to our listed farmhouse near Bradford-on-Avon. He listened to our needs and designed a practical solution to meet our requirements - exactly what we needed. Jonny is a pleasure to work with, saw the project through from start to finish, co-ordinated the planning process on our behalf and worked closely with the construction company to ensure the work was completed to specification. I can highly recommend!

We contacted Jonny soon after buying a potentially lovely, old house with a rather ill-considered and impractical, modern extension. From the start, Jonny’s ideas and early designs more than met our original brief and we enjoyed having our imagination stretched. Throughout the build he supported us every step of the way, listened to our concerns and was an excellent, calm, presence on site. The end result is a fully-integrated house that is a delight to live in. We would thoroughly recommend Jonny as a creative, thoughtful and consummate professional.

We have no hesitation in recommending Jonny. Having lived in our present house for 39 years we felt the time was right to downsize, but where to? Answer the back garden! Having only owned 2 houses in 40 years of marriage we had no idea about how you go about designing and building a new house all we knew was that we wanted a bespoke modern house complete change to our present house which was built in 1915. Jonny and the team helped with every aspect design, liaising with local planning officers ,guiding us through an appeal when the local council (not the planning officer)rejected our plans and liaising with the builder. They visited the sight regularly and we had monthly meetings with them and the builder. Jonny checked all the finances thus taking the pressure and stress off us. We are delighted with our new house as hopefully they are. ”

Our experience with Jonny has been fantastic from start to finish. The creativity and flair was just what our 1970's home needed - we had only bought it for the views!! Jonny produced the most amazing plans for re-modelling the entire house and adding an extension that nearly doubled the size of the original. Making a modern, light and airy, contemporary house. All of our needs were met, everything on our wish list incorporated, including double height ceilings for an enormous Christmas tree! Throughout the project nothing was too much trouble, we felt really well supported and guided. We are delighted with the finished 'forever family home', full of the 'wow' factor and surveyors have commented that it's exactly the kind of imagination a regular 70's property needed. LOVE the design work by Studio Hearth. Jonny understood my requirements and budget and delivered a fantastic extension which exceeded my original expectations. I formed a good working relationship with Jonny through out the process and welcomed his feedback and clear instructions at each stage. I realise that his capabilities stretch beyond the minimum level of my extension project but feel that he gave me the same attention to detail as that of his larger project

The glamour and excitement of New York in the middle of Wiltshire. That is how one of our friends has described the copper and glass addition to our 500 year old rural farmhouse. We couldn’t be happier. Our brief was for something special, something as far from pastiche as possible, but still practical as a family home, and that is certainly what we’ve achieved. From our initial meeting Jonny has listened and taken the essence of our ideas and run with them. We’ve felt involved with the project and very much part of a team creating something unique. Jonny’s approach from design, through build to completion has been inclusive, open, transparent and importantly resulted in a space and a home that lifts the soul.
