About Us

We’re an architectural practice based in Hull, UK, specialising in sustainable architecture & creative design. No matter how tricky the site or how unique the brief is, we’re here to help you get the most from the project and make the process as enjoyable as it should be. Great design starts with the ability to think creatively and outside of the box, and we employ traditional and emerging technologies to allow us to do so. Whenever possible we’ll sketch ideas out with you, to allow the brief and concept to develop and unfold before your eyes. We take these ideas and test them before finalising, to ensure that you’re delighted and we’re confident in the design. - We model and test ideas in our state of the art workshop - We design in 3D, to foresee potential issues before they reach site - We’re invested in sustainable design and thinking - We thrive when set a challenge and creative ideas are required

Matt Riley has been superb! He is calm, very knowledgeable and has up-to-date facilities for all that is required. From first meeting him I was impressed. He designed our double garage with ease suggesting many things in the process. His drawings are fantastic and very clear and informative. He made edits to them quickly and dealt with the council so smoothly. He is easy to contact and replies swiftly. We appointed one of his suggested builders (Martin Construction, Hull) and are very grateful for this as they have been excellent too. I have no hesitation recommending Matt to you - you will receive a first class service!

Matt has been fantastic in helping us with the extension of our riverside bungalow. His team were very prompt and meticulous in drawing the floor plans and elevations of the whole building. They managed to get the planning permission in a short span of time, without any hurdles. I was really impressed with the attention to the details in some of their images. Their 3D images even portray the arrays of sunlight streaming through the glazed windows. They have been open to suggestions and worked around my personal preferences and budget. Studio Six will undoubtedly be my 'go to' for any works in future.

We live in a Grade II listed building in a conservation area and needed some specialist help in converting a study into a disabled bathroom,together with other adaptations. This is our first time of working with an architect and we are very pleased to have found Matt- he is very pleasant,easy to work with,quickly understands what you want and adds useful suggestions. We are very pleased with the plans he has drawn up and would thoroughly recommend him.

Matt from Studio six was excellent. We could have easily added a bog standard bolt on extension to our small bungalow on a small challenging plot, but we wanted more, and Matt delivered. He understood our needs completely and introduced ideas and flair to the design creating plans we are so excited about. We will now be able to live in a fantastic house tailored exactly to our needs, turning a tired 2 bed bungalow into a 3 bed modern spacious home full of light. If you're thinking about an extension - use Studio Six, you wont regret it.
