Matt has not just given us space in which to live, he has brought new life to our home! We had been looking to move for a while as we were unhappy with our house and had been struggling to find something that we all liked and could see ourselves living in. Matt has given us exactly what each of us needed! From understanding the needs of each member of the family, to providing us with suitable options within our budget, project managing the entire project and giving us advice and help, Matt has always been professional, understanding and fun to work with! Who knew that you could spend two hours just talking about light fittings! And how very worthwhile those two hours were! We could not have achieved this without having Matt managing the project and being with us along the way. We have always felt we were in safe hand and knew that things would be done just right, and he took away so much stress from us. We are not very good at visualising things in the space; having Matt’s drawings and visualising things for us made such a big difference and helped us to make the right decision. We are loving having our friends around now. We wanted a space where we could entertain and be sociable at the same time – rather than having to be in the kitchen preparing whilst the party was in the other room! We also wanted a multifunction room, for the children to play, friends to stay and us to retreat to...’The Everything Space’...and we have all of that. It is a real joy to have people around and fill the house with fun and laughter and are looking forward to many more parties to come!

He made changes to suit our budget while ensuring we did not lose the initial design. Modern, open and bright. He is incredibly dedicated. He attended all meetings fully prepared with no delays. We really appreciated how Cocoon listened and asked questions about how we wanted to live, to create a design which is not only perfectly suited to how we want to live, but works brilliantly with the challenges of the tricky corner site conditions too. It’s been great seeing the design come to life in 3D. This really helped us to understand the proposals and make comments, which Cocoon were very attentive to.

I was in touch with Matt via recommendation. I asked Matt to design my forever home and im very pleased with the service and the end result. After coming up with a design i liked he then saw it though. I kept him on to oversee the whole project. The project was finished on time and im really pleased with everything.

Matt’s brief was to design a high quality but reasonably-sized sustainable home, with particular emphasis on natural and low-carbon materials with open-plan living, lots of opportunities to take in the rolling local views, capturing the sun and daylight, integrating our very garden-based lifestyle and most importantly low-energy consumption. We also said it had to look awesome for a very reasonable budget! Matt encouraged us to build to passive standards as much as possible and this didn’t impact on the budget as much as we thought and of course this is how all new houses should be built if we are all to lower our carbon footprint. Matt always listened to us and we never felt we were being pushed into something we didn’t want. There are times throughout the long process of designing and building your own home that you can be tempted to choose an easier or cheaper option and the one thing we did appreciate from Matt was his way of gently reminding us of what we originally wanted out of our home and our principles for building it the way we have. We have ended up with a truly unique home designed around our lifestyle that we can be very proud of and live in for the rest of our lives. We would highly recommend him to anyone who is considering building a sustainable and awesome looking house!

Studio TeePee have been contracted to design a house that will see myself and my husband through our later life, providing us with a high quality dwelling that will be easy to run and enable us to live independently, or with live in care, for the years to come. The design Studio TeePee has drawn for us will fulfill all of our requests and more. We have opted for a Passiv Style dwelling that will work for us, giving a comfortable lifestyle, we are very excited by this project. Studio TeePee have been very patient with us throughout the design and planning process, their ideas and our requests have been bought together with imagination and flair. Without Studio TeePee's expertise we would never have got a building to this standard, so much thought and care has gone into the project looking at our needs and the location, bringing elements of historic buildings from the area into a modern house. Hello Matt Plummer was our architect for a complete renovation of our terrace house in Ely. It was an ambitious project and Matt was there to give professional advice on planning and to make suggestions about how we could achieve what we wanted for this dark, akward space. In addition he provided us with creative, beautiful solutions to the problems that this rather rundown house presented. He drew up detailed plans for us and was always on hand to advise us and our builders. He ensured that planning applications were applied for and that inspections were carried out appropriately. He sourced materials for us, adapted plans and was endlessly patient and professional in guiding us through this major project. He was absolutely reliable and honest in his dealings with us and very pleasant to work with.
