We arrived at Tom studio with a vision to build a contemporary, minimalist house. We didn’t realise, how skilled Tom was at assessing our style and tapping into our vision. When Tom presented the draft plans, they surpassed our expectation. He had capsulated all our ideas and much much more. He visited the site , to collect inspiration, capture views and synchronise the buildings position to optimise its relationship with the landscape. Internally each window has been positioned and their dimensions carefully curated to allow uninterrupted views of the adjoining landscapes. Tom has a unique style, working with a limited palette and keeping the interior simple. This simplicity as added to the buildings uniqueness . We have been living in the house for 5 years and everyday we find something else we love about it. Tom helped us build our dream!

After a few consultations with Tom, seeing his vision on plans was exciting. However, the real excitement is whenever they became reality on site. By trusting him throughout the design stage we are now rewarded with a home that’s everything we could have ever wished for. Whilst the exterior of the house was important, Tom’s knowledge and experience came into its own when designing an interior layout that was both practical and functional to suit our living style today and long into the future. Our involvement with Tom didn’t stop after the design was finalised, rather it continued throughout the build process where he was always a phone call away to advise on even the smallest of details. We are reminded each day of just how amazing our home is, not only every time we drive up to it or step inside but from the enthusiastic reactions on people’s faces when they see it for the first time or see something they missed from before. This is all the result of Tom’s amazing work!

Tom's ability technically is only surpassed by his creative flair. He was able to bring to life my vision of a modern family home and at the same time teach me why simplicity in architectural design could not be improved on by fashion or 'stuff'. After 10 years of bringing up a family in our house, we still regularly comment on how much we love living there and still occasionally catch an angle or vista that somehow we missed before. You may have 'ideas' of what is right, my advice is to listen to Tom and you won't regret the outcome.
