Lee supported us from the very start: trustful, reliable and innovative. He helped us from the initial stage, especially when he had problems with gaining planning permission. The drawings and designs were all carefully considered and he really understood what we wanted from the project, taking into account our individual tastes and requirements; using his experience and skills to provide what we really wanted. Lee was incredibly supportive when our local council took issue and did everything within his power to help us resolve the issue, ultimately developing a second set of very different plans which, although not what we initially wanted, have turned out to be a much more efficient use of the space. Would definitely recommend.

I appointed Whittaker Design to do drawings for my new build. Throughout this process, they have offered me fantastic advice and support. Their local knowledge with our council was invaluable and they have helped us get the approval we needed. Although our build has not commenced as of yet, I will be requiring the advice and the help of Whittaker Design for our Building Regulations etc. Whittaker Design go the extra mile for their clients, they have helped us with some very challenging issues on the land we own. Whittaker Design was recommended to me by a work colleague. I was looking for a company that could handle all aspects of my house extension project from design through to planning permission and building regulation approval. From first contact, they have been extremely professional and fast to act on situations that arose resulting in a quick hassle free completion of the project. I would certainly recommend to a friend.

Met via twitter in Dec 2013 and subsequently discussed ideas with both Lee & Alan re a previously very poorly maintained but substantial Victorian end stone cottage renovation for my son. The project still ongoing due to family illness however Whittaker Design have provided exemplary service from day one. Listening carefully to what we wanted to achieve and quickly coming up with a scheme and drawings that are first class in terms of quality, detail and making planning ahead both realistic in design and within budgets. They have saved my son several thousand pounds already on the project on the windows alone with high class contacts who have done a first class job with 10 windows and two doors. Cant really ask for better than that as feel they treat our money with respect and professional integrity within the project as a whole. The plans include all areas of the property from roof space to cellar with a modern extension to sitting room that is architecturally sympathetic yet compliments the existing building and makes best use of an awkward space to make it as one with a large rear garden and a substantial valuable addition. Whilst discussing the project also discovered they had overseen a project on a Grade 2 property adjoining our garden that to be frank had always been an eyesore back to 1960s with a mix of badly constructed extensions. It now has a lovely modern Kitchen / Garden room that has made the property a pleasure to see when in our garden in keeping with the location. We have had some horrendous experiences with long established contractors in the past and the biggest compliment we can pay Whittaker Design is they have restored our faith that genuine people exist who take a pride in what they do with mutual respect. Not all projects can advance as quickly as perhaps we all would like and thank Lee for his understanding at a difficult time for our family. Will not hesitate to employ Whittaker Design on any future project. I was employed to work with Whittaker Design on a noise assessment. I found them very easy to work with, they understood the issues and provided a very clear brief. All of the information I needed to carry out my part of the project was available to me and they were quick to respond to any questions. Highly recommended!

A very friendly and professional service provided. Lee recommended loads of ideas and drafted them into CAD for us to see. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Even after the plans and building regs had been passed he still made himself available to assist with queries from the builder. This lent itself to a very smooth build with little issues.
