Zuhause was recommended to us by an acquaintance architect of such a prestige that we feared Holger's services too would be completely out of our financial reach even though we had a reasonably generous budget. Yet, we ended up with a fabulous extension on budget after Holger produced an imaginative and inventive design without compromising on looks, quality, or timing. All around us there are extensions built before ours, that we know were built to a brief similar to ours but at a much higher cost. We can just marvel at the difference in the looks alone, feeling very much a winner. Holger is highly recommended.

Zuhause designed and oversaw the delivery of the renovation to the ground floor of our Edwardian family house in Hackney. The ground floor was previously a series of dingy rooms in a standard layout, and the result on completion is light, airy and spacious open plan kitchen, living, dining space over two levels with clear lines of sight between the front and rear gardens. Daylight pours in all year round via the roof light over the dining table and the glazing to the garden. Utility space was cleverly designed in to allow for a WC and hidden washing machine. A great result all round!

Zuhause designed and project managed an extremely complex refurbishment of a live/work mews house in Notting Hill. Right from the beginning Holger completely understood the brief and responded with both practical and creative input which took the project off my shoulders. I felt I could trust him entirely and this proved to be the case. It was a long and difficult build owing to the replacement of the staircase throughout the entire building and the complete renovation of the ground floor office space, whilst we continued to live and work in the property. I highly recommend Zuhause.

I was recommended to Holger Hille at Zuhause by another architect who was not able to help me at the time as they had too much work on. We wanted to create more space in our basement kitchen / family area which involved knocking down supporting wall and opening up back of the house and fitting bi-folding doors onto the patio. I was immediately impressed by Holger's clear vision and interpretation of just what we wanted and how we needed it to work for our young family. Once drawings were approved the building work was put out to tender and we selected a high end company who could achieve the finish we were after. Holger also had some great contacts for joinery as well as the bi-fold doors and the job was more or less completed on time and within budget. The basement and ground floors were transformed and we achieved exactly what we set out to when we appointed Zuhause.
