Working with Amos was an instinctive and collaborative process. We had already lived in the house for 25 years before we decided to rebuild the rear of our Victorian terraced house in North London. So we needed an architect that could work with the house’s existing style but create a new modern space that was different but complemented the original parts of the house. Amos and the team listened to us before even putting pen to paper. He uncovered other requirements particularly around losing a part of the garden and creating a new interior winter garden space. AGA helped us adapt the brief and we ended up with an amazing home. The sign of a good architect is collaboration, listening and delivering. Amos and his team delivered all three. Amos was a tremendous help in coming up with solutions and ideas for how to refurbish my 1960s house. Ten years after buying our victorian house we decided that we need a major refurbishment and a loft conversion. Following an initial consultation with Amos, we decided to take him on as our architect and project manager. From the start we had great communication with Amos. Once begun the works lasted around 10 months. The design was nicely conceived and closely matched what we'd been hoping for. Communication was good and prompt at every stage, and the overall fee was very reasonable, considering the complexity and duration of the work. He was always quick to respond to any inquiries, and was very thorough and clear in all correspondence, as well as in his oversight of the builders. In addition, his fee was very fair in relation to the level of service provided, and in relation to other architects we spoke with. Due to our specialised D2 license usage together with our century old building with no relevant prints or plans in place, there have been many obstacles and challenges to overcome relating to several key areas including drainage, plumbing and electrical, but with his proactive nature and through his extensive network of professional contacts, he has provided guidance that has enabled us to reduce costs, streamline our process and reduce our build-out time-frame in the lead up to our project commencing. Amos is extremely capable and most importantly very honest and transparent in his dealings. He is also very up to speed on latest materials and developments. Amos designed and project managed the remodelling of our 1970's flat conversion. His knowledge and experience were the key to the success of the project as he organised contractors and suppliers for us as well as providing invaluable advice at all stages. Through circumstances beyond his control, the project is not yet complete, but it remains within budget.
