Genuinely excellent service, advice and guidance from start to finish. We had a kitchen extension which included renovating an outbuilding to make it part of the main house. The design was exactly what we wanted but the attention to every detail was what lifted it from functional to beautiful. The builders chosen couldn't have been better - reliable, master craftsmen who brought the designs to life, carefully overseen by our architect, Tim Hannon. It was an expensive extension but worth every penny and we now have a wonderful kitchen and dining area where we now spend most of our time. I can't recommend them enough.

Tim found the missing piece in our jigsaw puzzle and has designed and created a wonderful home for us in Aldeburgh using every inch of space in our three bedroomed end-of-terrace house. The problem was where to move the staircases, one of which took up prime space on the ground floor. Once Tim solved this, the rest of the house worked its way round them, more or less demolishing all internal walls, creating new rooms/bathrooms and lowering the first floor ceiling to create good headroom for the third bedroom in the roof space. A mid Victorian house renovated to a contemporary space but not losing its charm and the real beauty was to achieve our ambition in being able to use local trade and craftsmen.

We had always wanted to live in a modern house – we just never thought we’d build one. When we decided to build a new house in the grounds of our 1970s property in Walberswick we were initially advised that only a traditional property would have any chance of getting through planning. That was our initial brief to Tim, who produced a two- story brick and wood facia design with some thoughtful twists, which would sit next to the existing house. When that failed to pass planning, Tim sat us down and asked us what we would like to build and live in if we didn’t have to compromise. From there, he took our suggestions and created an innovative and architecturally interesting single-story design, with a central double height living area and mezzanine which was both aesthetically pleasing and functional and which sat perfectly on the site. He used modern heating technologies and blended traditional wood and brick elevations with glass walls through which light streams into the house and which give it a dramatic sense of scale. Most importantly, he involved us at each stage of the design, listening to suggestions and explaining aspects of the design; his approach was consultative so that we always felt involved. Moreover, Tim was with us at every stage of the planning and building process, overcoming objections and tweaking the design where necessary, without losing its integrity or compromising on design quality. It would not have been possible to get permission for the build without his professional presentations to planning authorities; he attended meetings, made phone calls, and set up site visits. The result is that three years later we are living in a modern house, which exceeds our current and future needs.

We were intending to purchase a three acre meadow on which there was no planning, Tim drew up some plans which we were completely happy with. He struggled with the planners and several modifications had to be made including the footprint, after 12months of discussions we were granted permissions for our final home, a single story eco friendly light and airy home with a south/west outlook. unfortunately the owner of the land decided not to sell on the day before contracts were exchanged. therefore to our dismay we have been unable to complete our project

Tim Hannon visited me to discuss plans for my new house, having explained what I wanted Tim came back with a plan, there were a few tweeks to satisfy my requirements, but other wise the design was perfect. Tim kept in touch through the whole process, offering advice when I needed it (I project managed the site) the result was a property that is frequently admired by passers by and a very comfortable home to live in.
