“I have found working with Peter excellent. We are putting on an extension and from the initial drawing to building control drawing nothing has ever been a bother to him. I have asked endless questions and changed my mind within the drawings and nothing has ever been a problem. Advice and suggestions on what we can do to get the best out of our project has been brilliant. Peter is friendly and knowledgeable in his job. From ringing round various architects for prices Peter prices are very reasonable I would highly recommend him to anyone.”

“We enlisted Marc Ballard’s help to extend our old stone home in South Belfast. It wasn’t the easiest of briefs as we also needed to extend our home to accommodate a disabled parent. Marc is a fabulous architect and the end result for us is a truly beautiful home with the most incredible feeling of space. Right from taking our brief and creating a beautiful home to managing the builders and every aspect of the build he has been brilliant. He’s very calm and truly listens to your brief and what you need and his skill as an architect is clear to see in the design work which has led to a stunning home. Working with an architect like Marc has given us a build that has the level of ‘detail’ and things we just wouldn’t have been able to do such as curved walls, bringing in different levels of light and creating different heights and making the home flow for our space but also suiting a disabled person. The build wasn’t straightforward also due to ground levels but working with Marc seriously reduced our stress levels throughout the whole process and we are truly delighted and loving living in our new ‘space’.”

“We contacted Jim initially for ideas only for our house which had been bothering us for some time due to a poor layout, dark, pokey rooms, lack of storage and poor access to our back garden. We were delighted with some of the ideas he came up with, some of them incredibly simple, and we hired him to design what turned out to be a modest extension, with other renovations and alterations, all of which which have totally transformed our house. Jim took care of the statutory approvals and organised a first class builder, and the works were finished exactly within our agreed budget. We are absolutely delighted with the finished result and would have no hesitation in recommending Jim to anyone thinking of home improvements.”

“Look no further, these guys are the best! I simply love our house now that we have extended and refurbished it to designs by 9yards! From their first visit I knew we would get on well, with their friendly, knowledgeable approach, and their design ideas were brilliant, all at a very affordable price - they truly have changed the way our family live, with a large open-plan kitchen/dining/living area where the whole family can congregate. We also engaged them to look after the job on site which took away all of the building stress - thank you 9yards!”

“From the first call with C60 I knew that I had found the right practice to help us with 2 projects. Roger and the team at C60 have successfully steered us through planning and building control approval for both, with first class submissions and engagement with the planners and conservation officials. One project is nearly complete, and the second is just going out to tender now. In their design work C60 have managed to effectively balance style with the practical utility of the space, and have known instinctively when to lead and when to listen. They turned some of our original ideas on their head, and the projects are significantly better off because of them. They have been fantastically responsive to calls and emails, and have been very accommodating in working around the schedule of 2 busy professionals + toddler for clients. “Glen worked on plans for our house extension. He took the time to understand what our vision and current and future expectations of the house and the extension. Overall I would say he delivered and exceeded our expectations. Glen worked tirelessly on the designs and kept the project moving right through to planning permission stage. We were also pleased and reassured with the range of contacts for different aspects of the projects that he was able to provide. “Finding Jane Burnside was akin to finding an oasis in the desert ! Finally here was an architect who not only listened to our requirements, but also delivered them in a workable and beautiful form. We had spent many hours looking at rural houses , concluding that a traditional retirement house or vernacular cottage was not for us. While we found it easy to say what we didn't want, we couldn't say what we did want. All we knew was that we wanted a complete change from the Victorian farmhouse we were to move out of. An abundance of natural light, no stairs, multipurpose space suitable to accommodate anywhere from 2 - 22 people ( growing grandchildren!) low maintainence grounds and above all pleasing to the eye were among our requirements, form and function was increasingly being uttered. We saw Jane's book and after reading it ,we were convinced that here was the answer to our dilemma . From our first meeting we were impressed with the quality of her work and professionalism . Guiding us away from unsuitable ideas and offering us much better alternatives Jane promptly produced 2 very different house layouts and our hardest decision was which one we liked best. Planning permission in our area is a nightmare and Jane has dealt with this in a very efficient no nonsense manner. In summing up I would recommend Jane Burnside Architects as an answer to anyone looking for a home that is not only tasteful and functional but also one that sets a standard for the future.”

“John Fitzgerald worked with me as architect, to convert a Victorian villa to a modern Dental practice. The project was completed on time and with a small overrun on budget. He was pleasant to work with and was innovative and excellent at problem solving throughout. He built and maintained good relationships with all involved.
