“Mr Robertson was worth every penny! He was instrumental in guiding us through many hoops when it came to renovating our listed cottage. He was able to give us good ideas and took the heat out of all the overwhelming paperwork that was essential for the job. He liaised with Exmoor Park and was able to deal with any hiccups in a calm and professional way. He was always polite and explained things to us in layman terms when necessary. Mr Robertson worked to our finances and was always "on the case" as it were. Without him, the cottage would not look as stunning as it is today.”

“The brief was to remodel our 1920s semi into a large modern family home. Tom understood our requirements really well and we couldn't be more pleased with the space he designed - a wrap-around extension; 2-storey to the side and 1-storey on the back. In particular, he was able to accommodate our changing ideas comfortably and gave excellent advice on design features, without the end result looking too 'design-y'. We would recommend him without hesitation.”

“I cannot recommend Dennis Hellyar architects highly enough. This was a bereft and unloved property in poor condition in need of considerable attention. DHA reviewed, and saw potential with an imaginative, bold scheme (perhaps too bold for some). Their enthusiasm and imagination carried all before it, and now we are the proud owners of an exciting and remarkable space at the heart of the city. Being new to renovations, we were heavily reliant on the team put together by DHA and I now believe our confidence in them was well placed. DHA was the fulcrum of the team, keeping a weather eye on progress, quality and costs. Above all their attention to detail proved the key to a quality result. The firm has an enormous wealth of experience covering domestic and commercial work and it was evident this was brought to bear in the job. In particular, DHA went the extra mile to make this work.”

“We were recommended New Space by a friend and they were brilliant from start to finish. We wanted another bedroom for our youngest daughter and with limited space around the house we didn't know how we could do it without moving. New Space suggested we converted our loft and came up with an incredible design which allowed us to have a new bedroom and en-suite in the loft. They made the process so simple, as well as fun and their drawings were so clear and detailed the builder was really happy.”

“We required an architect that had a sensitive and respectful touch when dealing with a property of over 300 years. The requirement was to design a two and single story extension in a sympathetic yet current way. Modernity of space was essential. The incorporation of several levels to provide increased head height and tie in with the existing building was to be a giant three dimensional jig saw puzzle. Christian took this on with both hands and I was confident that he would provide us with a cohesive and balanced result. So it proved. Obviously there were tweaks along the way, largely to satisfy the planning authority. Christian dealt with these imposed changes in a most professional manner and through him the end result is highly successful. Even allowing for the modifications the final plans were on time and right on budget. I am indebted to him and the person who put his name forward.”

“Jonathan is a fantastic architect. He was very friendly and professional. He really listened to what I wanted and added his own ideas. The service provided was extremely efficient. Jonathan supported my application to the Council with his designs - which took all the stress out of it for me. Jonathan continued to support once the designs were signed off by checking quotes received for the work to make sure they incorporated the whole design. I cannot recommend Jonathan highly enough and will continue to recommend him.”

“For us a lifetime ambition has been fulfilled. The architects Chris Loyn and James Stroud were perfect for the job, they listened carefully to what we wanted but incorporated their own ideas into the brief. The house is much better because of that. They were knowledgeable, professional and met every deadline required. They were totally supportive throughout and we love the house, it is stunning easy to maintain and with glorious views from every aspect. The views over fields. towns, the Bristol Chanel and Somerset in the distance make us feel very privileged. The house is light, warm, cost effective and feels very welcoming. Totally suitable for a lifetime home and we continue to receive support from the firm. Could not recommend them highly enough. Please contact me vis Loyn and Co if you require further information”
