“Ours was a long project from initial design ideas to actual completion. We wanted to renovate and extend a listed building. From the outset, Carl, of Kennet Design, sought to understand our views and ideas, while helping us understand what might be possible and realistic. The project was complicated by the need to adjust plans over a period of time in order to ensure listed building consent. The nature and condition of the old house required additional input from structural and historic experts - and Carl was able to recommend thoughtful professionals who could explain their findings to us in layman's terms. Carl was able to meet them and us on site as required. Realising the finished design required a skilled and versatile local builder, able to work in traditional and modern materials - once again, Carl's recommendation proved to be vital and we are delighted with the result.”
