“After a frustrating couple of years having several planning applications rejected we sought advice from the person who lived in a contemporary house we had often admired. It turned out that this was Matthew Wintersgill of W & M Architects. He went on to analyse the reasons why our applications had failed and we immediately felt he understood our requirements and how to have the design accepted by the local planning authorities. We therefore asked Matthew to design our house and he fortunately agreed. On completion we immediately won the Civic Society award and we remain delighted with the light, airy, low energy spaces that Matthew has created and considerate ourselves very fortunate to live in such a beautiful house.”

“Model Projects were a delight, from the initial brief with James who immediately took my requirements and turned them into a fantastic design - spot on first time with no amendments necessary. Kathryn then took over on a day to day basis as project manager and I cannot praise her highly enough. Dealing with the local authority, building control, structural engineers and the many contractors was done with calm and determination and I now have my dream space.”

“I have been working with Design Squared for nearly two years now as there photographer. Dealing with Design Squared is a pleasure, and i always enjoy photographing there projects. When meeting there clients, i always get great feedback on how professional they are, and the way the operate. I deal mainly with Alice, the office manager, who is always very friendly, and helps me a great deal with the specifics of each photoshoot. I would highly recommend them!”

“We worked with Sam Cooper and his team recently on a large new build project for which he prepared the full plans and engineering package as well as undertaking the role of contract administrator. We found the entire team at E2 to be both very helpful and professional along with being extremely easy to work with. It was refreshing to receive prompt and accommodating advice and assistance throughout this difficult and demanding project.”

“Rees+Lee designed my kitchen extension and helped me with the internal design of the kitchen and playroom, helping to maximise space. They were always on hand for advise and I felt they had my best interest at heart. They gave great advise and helped source all of the internal and external design fixtures and fittings. Their advise on aesthetics was brilliant, which helped me make important decisions that I wasn't confident making on my own. My experience with Rees+Lee was great, I would highly recommend this company.”

“Dominic designed a beautiful kitchen extension for us which has made brilliant use of the space and which we continue to appreciate on a daily basis four years after the job was finished. He worked collaboratively with us on the design and provided very clear and detailed plans, as well as more artistic visuals so we could get a feel for how things would look. The latter really captured our imaginations and sustained us through the times when the back of the house was off in mid-winter! His artistic as well as architectural training meant that he really thought about the aesthetic details - and he respected our wishes in the few cases where we wanted to depart from his suggestions, including accommodating a table football. Dominic persuaded us to think about design options that wouldn't have occurred to us - like digging down to create more head room. This was expensive but we are glad we went for it. Dominic worked well with our own builders who commented on how well specified the tender documents were. We did have a problems with two sub-contractors sourced by Dominic but these were ultimately resolved.”

“Working with Archea was a fantastic experience. They completely transformed my house - and the way I live in it. They listened carefully to my vision and then created a space that makes me feel happy every single day. I often find myself just staring at the way the skirting board elegantly falls down the kitchen step, or the way all of the light fittings are at precisely the same height... the attention to detail is exemplary. The refurbishment took six months and the team Archea bought in, were very skilled and considerate. Throughout the project I felt informed, consulted and generally looked after - what could have been a stressful experience was actually really rewarding. I can't recommend working with Archea more highly.”

“HOUZZ REVIEW The project was a complete refurbishment on a tall and thin victorian home ( House of Townscape Merit in a Conservation Area) leaving only the outside walls remaining while extending laterally and down. We also wanted to create an eco “passive house” that was soundproofed. Joe and lizzie Fraher won a competitive bid process due to their ability to quickly tune into what we were trying to achieve, while demonstrating they could add immense value with a great combination of creative insights and practical knowledge. Their creative scenarios had a real “wow” factor opening our minds to possibilities that we had not thought of. They also combined wonderful ideas as to how we could make maximum use of a small footprint. They were also prepared to project manage the complete process from planning application through tender development, contractor selection and management to final contractual sign off snagging and building reg. approvals. This was a 12 month project with a significant budget. The project was delivered on time and on budget with few variations due to very extensive detailed planing in the tender process and close management of the main and other contractors. Post completion issues were also closely managed. At no time did Fraher “sign off” or become less engaged as other projects took priority. They were always available and committed to achieving 100% customer satisfaction at every stage. But most importantly the creative architectural input was at all times impressive, invariably providing alternative scenarios while creating an open balanced dialogue which always resulted in an outcome that exceeded our expectations within sensible budget parameters. Their input was always presented in a pragmatic and flexible way resulting in a relationship where we felt we were all working together to achieve our aspirations. They took the stress out of the design and implementation process making the whole experience from start to finish both enjoyable and rewarding. The following link shares some components of the finished home. http://fraher.co/projects/the-lantern/”

“We are currently looking at moving into a house that requires a complete renovation. We contacted BuildPath regarding getting some ideas as to the processes and cost involved. They managed to turn round a complete conceptualised project within 48 hours. This has been invaluable for us in determining how best to take the project forward and we are now in a much more informed position to be making an offer. I would have no hesitation in recommending this excellent and efficient service. It is also great to see how the house could look at such and early stage.”

“Very positive experience working with Paper House Project on a full refurbishment / rebuild brief in Central London that was particularly challenging for various reasons. They provided us with thoughtful and practical advice through the design and planning process and guided us in a sensible and approachable manner through the technical minefields of planning and building regulations. Paper House Project were always responsive and available for last minute inspections when required and worked well with other advisors and our contractors. The end product meets all of the objectives of the brief, while also looking more striking and more impressive than we thought possible. I would recommend these architects very highly, particularly for more demanding projects.”
