“Design Alternatives built my new house and did a fantastic job. The project lasted for 18 months and was very detail oriented with some unexpected problems along the way (including discovering our foundation needed to be built over an active spring and running into some complicated drainage work for the property). “Mark was able to come in and get his redesigned plans through one of the most difficult Architectural Site Review Boards in all of California when our original architect was not able to finish the job. This custom home met all of my needs. Mark was able to translate my verbal descriptions of my design ideas into a cost effective, buildable product. His understanding of how to best utilize this tricky job site made a great difference from other architects that were engaged in the project. “We had the opportunity to work with Eli this past year on remodeling our bathroom. He helped turn our one bathroom into two by cutting into our walk-in closet and also a bit into the master bedroom. The master bathroom is laid out so you enter through the walk-in closet. Being in the city where space is tight, he was able to make two elegant contemporary bathrooms feel spacious in a small area. The looks are absolutely stunning and he has already started plans on our kitchen. His plans were easy to read with a full listing of all the fixtures we needed to order to complete the job. He makes himself available if you need to follow-up with him while the project is in progress if changes need to be made.”

“We hired Jeff to develop a design for the remodeling of the downstairs of our then 80-year-old house. He did a superb job of designing a new entry, rearranging the flow of the house, and integrating the best aspects of the house's existing features, Jeff was attentive to our needs and desires. He as also cognizant of our budget. Our neighborhood organization has an annual contest that awards prizes for the best designed home improvements, and Jeff's redesign was selected as the best for that year. We subesquently had Jeff design a replacedment garage and then design the remodeling of our upstairs rooms. On all our projects, Jeff was involved from the design to the construction supervision. He did a fabulous job, and we would recommend him highly.”
