“Sean Tomlinson architected our kitchen and dining room remodel. Our goals were to expand, modernize, and improve the functionality of the existing space for our growing family. Our original house had a shape that didn't lend itself to what we envisioned, so we reached out to Sean. He designed a spacious, stunning space that is a pleasure to live and work in. Sean was wonderful to to work with and took a great deal of time with us upfront to understand how we use our living space. It was a major remodel, and he was able to tie it beautifully back to the rest of the existing house.”

Taylor Meyer brought great ideas to the table and incorporated our own while creating a wonderful combination of both in the final design. Almost everything we envisioned in our home ended up in the final design. We are building from afar, and VFLA was able to accommodate remote and in-person meetings around our busy schedules. “After interviewing multiple architectural firms, we hired Markley Designs to design our custom single family home on the Colorado front range. We chose Markley Designs because it was important for us to be working directly with a lead architect throughout the design process. With other firms we interviewed, it appeared the lead architect's role would be overseeing the project, but the majority of the work would be done by someone else. The design process started by meeting with Mark to discuss basic home requirements including the location of our home, design elements, number of rooms, etc. Over the next few weeks we worked closely with Mark to design a home that truly met our high standards both functionally and aesthetically. Energy efficiency was especially important to us. Mark's Leed Certification and knowledge of green building practices were invaluable and he did a wonderful job of incorporating efficient energy design elements into our home . Mark communicated with us through every step of the design process and was always easy to reach when needed. His attention to detail and passion for his work showed every step of the way. We couldn't 'be happier!”

“Curt Marwitz worked incredibly hard with us to design our SF home on 2+ acres. It was not an easy project for many reasons and due to budget constraints we had many iterations. I am the first to admit that I am not the easiest person to work with and he handled it all well. He did not just design the home and then step away. Curt was involved throughout construction and I feel this was an integral part of the project. It has been over 6 years since we did the majority of our work with Curt but I know if I called him tomorrow he would respond immediately. If you are looking for a quality architect and a quality person I would recommend you put him on the short list of people to interview.”
