McArthur Tring Architects
Architects in King's Lynn, Norfolk
Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars3 June 2024
“We wanted to turn a 1960s dark and drab 2 bedroom terrace into a modern house we can be proud of and McArthur Tring Architects helped us every step of the way! From designing the layout, advising us on how to maximize every space available and creating a third floor by moving into the attic area that was completely redesigned with beautiful and large windows that brought in abundant natural light, they understood what we wanted and turned our dream into reality. Despite the house being in a historic preservation area and our open plan first floor requiring a sprinkler system, they helped us get the permits, find excellent tradespeople and sourced various samples so we can try ideas we hadn't even thought of. We couldn't be happier. What I really appreciated was that they made what could have been a daunting and stressful experience into an exciting and inspiring one. We also managed to stay pretty much on budget and that's also thanks to them too!”

“Hugh has completed two projects for us. The first was designing an extension at the rear of our property some 20 years ago. Living in Dartmoor National Park his experience of dealing with such authorities was invaluable. The design was cleverly conceived and as unobtrusive as possible whilst meeting all of our requirements and satisfying the planners. The second project, some 6 years ago involved the design and construction of a green oak frame extension. Again this has blended in perfectly and met with the total approval of the planning authorities. Hugh is a delight to work with and we have no hesitation in recommending him.”

Nicholas Vanburgh Ltd

Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars3 April 2019
“We gave Nicholas the impossible task of turning a large but totally architecturally challenged farmhouse into a beautiful home. he and his team excelled at this and there attention to detail is exceptional. We asked for a design only service, this is what we got along with more than agreed detailed drawings of every possible element of the rebuild. The job was so impressive that our neighbours employed Nicholas to do their farmhouse and it too have turned out to be an exquisite end result. I would recommend NV ltd again and again.”
