“I hired Malcolm Parry to create and submit full plans for an extension and garage rebuild at my home address. Malcolm was professional, knowledgable, personable and great to work with at all times (even when the council were being rather troublesome). I wholeheartedly recommend MPA Ltd and have done on several occasions! Malcolm charges the market rate for his services and is clear in all communications. I can't recommend him highly enough.”

“This dream Architect is a kind, caring, extremely organised professional genius! Brilliant with technology. Matthew Cowan drew up plans for our new build. As a one off venture, we bought a plot of land which was only 12 metres wide but 40 metres long. Matthew held our hand from start to finish. Listening intently to what we "wanted", but professionally challenging our ideas which were not practical. He put the project out to tender, dealt with Planning, produced building warrant, oversaw the building, coordinated the Engineers. Nothing is too much trouble for Matthew and he was a delight to deal with. He had an excellent working relationship with the builder too. We couldn't have done this project without Matthew. We can provide photos if wanted and are happy to talk with anyone who wants more information on Matthew Cowan, King Street, Perth or our dream builder William Mailer & Sons from Aucterarder, Perthshire ”

“I contacted three builders about getting an estimate for a loft conversion and only one got back to me. He recommended a local architect and everything moved swiftly and smoothly from there. The design of the upgrade to my 1850s end terrace cottage grew hands and feet but was never allowed to go crazy because of the sensible heads in charge. The joiner/builder and architect complemented each other and I am left with a property, the beauty of which was summed up in one question put to me by the joiner. "Is there anything you would change?" I answered that there is nothing I would change. Everybody who has been here since has complemented the design. Early on the knowledge and experience was evident in abundance from Lucas Dow Design Studios. The vision of an architect is something you pay for. I maintain my position - I would not change anything. The inside, which is not shown in the photos provided, is the triumph.”

“Used Shand Architecture for two projects: Transforming a number of small, dark rooms in the lower ground floor of a large Victorian villa into an open plan self-contained living space comprising kitchen/living/dining area , spacious bedroom with walk-in dressing area and a good sized bathroom. Together with the private entrance door and utility cupboard he performed an incredible feat with unpromising beginnings. Obtaining planning permission for a house on an old tennis court in an extensive walled garden in a conservation area. While the plot could have housed a larger development, the very good advice was to retain the character of the area by applying for one contemporary house which would sit well in the plot while still leaving a large area of garden for the main house.”
