“Todd has amazing talent. He is an artist whose personal ownership in each project is unparalleled. He listens to what your vision is, and brings it to life.......and then some! He is not an architect that drops off the drawings with your builder and you never see him again. He is a true partner on the journey to your dream home. I highly recommend Todd. He has taught us a lot over the time we have been building our home. He is good about explaining architecture, and incorporating the architecture into your interior vision/design as well. We do not plan on building another dream home, but if we did, there would be no question as to who our architect would be - Todd Hittmeier.”

“Ryan did a fantastic job at making my space encompass all the things I wanted It to. He brought a ton of great ideas to the table to compliment what I wanted. My salon is truly unique, it’s rustic, industrial, and modern yet cozy. My guests ask all the time who designed it. It has even won a design award in 2016 from salon today magazine as one of the top salons in the US.”

“We engaged Cathy Svercl as our architect because we wanted someone who was fully committed to the "Not So Big House" concept as well as "green" innovations and aging in place design for a whole house remodeling project. Her attentiveness to these principles and commitment to details, professional relationships and management of the remodeling project resulted in a one of a kind picturesque lakefront home design.”
Sonya Lee Architect llc

“We hired Sonya Lee as architect to design and manage a complete gut renovation of a pre-war apartment in Forest Hills Gardens, NY. I can't even imagine another architect doing a better job than what she did for us. She has our absolutely highest recommendation possible. Process & Knowledge -- Sonya managed the contractors, the architectural drawings, the electrical and plumbing drawings, the Dept of Buildings approval, and helped us deal with the building's board process. She coordinated the entire renovation with an incredible handle on every detail and turned a giant project into manageable pieces and kept it all transparent enough that we knew where we were on status and what the next steps were. She verified all the bills and invoices presented from the contractors and helped us negotiate costs with them. She picked out furniture pieces and fixtures for us. Her expertise was such that we could ask her any question at any time about materials and she could quote price ranges to us, explain the pros and cons of different choices, and she knew everything that the contractors were doing and when they were doing it. There was never a missed deadline from her and she rigorously talked through budget choices and kept us in our desired range. The peace of mind from having someone like her in charge was without question worth the cost of hiring her. Design -- Sonya has an elegant modern sensibility about design, but she doesn't impose anything on you. She reviewed sample picture designs we liked, asked thoughtful questions about our intended use and worked to create a beautiful, airy design for our apartment that maximized a modern, timeless aesthetic with our needs for a durable and functional family life with small children. Put it this way, everything she created was beautiful, could withstand a beating from our kids and will not be dated years and years from now. Experience -- I think I've said this already, but if it's not clear, Sonya Lee knows just about everything there is to know for modern renovations. Here's a sampling of some stuff we asked about: light bulb choices and lighting and environmental impact, the hardness of different counters, how to clean wood finishes, "what is that thing behind the wall?", how many internet data jacks should we have, will the Dept of Buildings ask questions about xyz, is there a cheaper option for cabinet handles, what do we do if we want to install a heated toilet later, how is the sound dampening quality of this rug, etc. She knew everything. Attitude -- Sonya Lee is sweet and kind, but tough on slow contractors. Seriously, she is a very easy person to get along with and has an honestly positive attitude.”

“Jenn did a great job creating a new kitchen space in an older house where the kitchen was pathetic! We love our new, modern, spacious kitchen, and Jenn even created a walk in pantry space out of nothing! In doing so, she moved walls around so now when we walk into the house we have a direct view of our lake. She was also timely, professional, and reasonably priced. Thank you Jenn!”

“Brad was great to work with and turned my ideas into a reality but he also added a lot of his own ideas to make the home more than first class. We also worked through a lot of major design issues together due to the available lot space. It was impressive how we could come up with innovative solutions that we could agree on, and still make the house very livable and still beautiful. Every time I'm in my yard I see people stopping just to look at my home. Brad worked on an hourly basis and did not nickle and dime me, so the cost was quite reasonable. My interior designer ended up costing me more than his architect services. He also worked well with my contractor, surveyor and the authorities in Clearwater. I highly recommend Brad and the Husserl Group. I couldn't be happier with them.”
