“Kevin designed and oversaw the construction of a private residence for me. The home was in excess of 7,000 sq ft, had a slate roof, stone exterior, geothermal HVAC, custom cabinetry and millwork and an extensive array or electronic and electrical installations. Kevin was a "treasure" to work with. All parties including specialty design engineers, the general contractor, various sub-contractors, local and state approval authorities and, of course, the owner found Kevin exceedingly professional, competent and a great communicator. “I have worked with Michael Oxman and Associates on numerous projects, both personal and for my real estate sales and rental business. I find the firm to be highly professional and qualified and especially consistent in determining what it is that I want to build. We work together to bring about design plans that always exceed my expectations. One particular personally owned project is located in Free Union, Virginiaon 75 acres. There were 3 phases to this project. The first was to remodel an historic old home into a beautiful cozy gatehouse that would become fully equipped with such amenities as gourmet kitchen yet retain all of its original character. Located at the entrance to our property adjacent to a mountain stream, the Oxman firm transformed a run down farm house into a lovely modernized home. The second phase was to design a lake which the eventual large log home would overlook. Finally, the log home itself was designed. We initially met for 2 full days and spent over 20 hours on preliminary sketches. Taking hand hewn logs from a 200 year old barn these would form the core of a gorgeous structure that has 3 main bedrooms, an apartment over a 3 car garage, exercise and game rooms, a wine room, a second 3 car garage for antique car projects, an indoor heated pool, a gourmet Tuscan kitchen, and a Great Room with massive stone and log fireplace. All of this taking in 360 degree views in a Little Switzerland setting. One of the things I am most impressed with is the initial time spent with owner/developer to go onsite equipped with exact topographic details and the time spent revising the initial sketching until we are satisfied.”
