“Judy designed our new kitchen renovation. It made our kitchen more beautiful and much more functional! It is now a pleasure for our family and friends to spend time together in our gorgeous new kitchen. Judy is extremely knowledgeable about environmentally friendly design, construction methods, and products. She is an expert at knowing how to quickly find the exact product or building material that is perfect for your project. The quality of her design work is excellent. Sharon has advised us on both window furnishings and furniture and has applied her architectural knowledge to commissioned items and the completion of a new-build home. Philip Nortje's skill in turning a very steep raw lot into a lovely and usable garden has drawn many admiring comments. “I hired RHAD Architects to design our new kitchen. I chose them because I was a huge fan of the beautiful work they did at a popular wellness spa in the city. I wanted something distinctive, something outside the box, but not something so different that it didn't feel comfortable. My kitchen is the crown jewel of our house. RHAD took our wish list and turned it in to something we could never have imagined. Functional, unique and truly stunning, it definitely has the drama I wanted - but not with the price tag; it cost a fraction of what everyone thinks. A few years later my husband hired them to design a set of townhouses. Again, they went over and above. The townhouses fit seamlessly with the traditional/historic vibe of the street, with a subtle modern twist which offers a hint of what's inside. The interior design is clean and modern, and clever use of space at every turn. Because these are rental properties, we needed them to be highly desirable to prospective tenants (upper middle class empty nesters) but not break the bank. RHAD Architects pulled it off, and then some. I look forward to our next collaboration!”

“I worked as structural consultant on the Moore Studio project with Omar Gandhi. I always enjoy working with Omar because he is enthusiastic about his designs, but at the same time he maintains a good amount of practicality when it comes to the structure. He is willing to listen to suggestions of how to improve or simplify the framing. We also both enjoy working on projects collaboratively where the designers and builder all work together to get the best end result. And most importantly, the project turned out great and the clients are very happy!”

“We have built 3 houses in the past 15 years. We have develped plans with several dsigners and architechs over that time. Mr. Collinson was uniquely able to produce a design which met our needs and desires. He asked important questions. These included; the ages of our children and what activities they do. He effectively, incorporated this information into the design. Mr. Collison had a strong knowledge of the local building bylaws and there variation throughout Halifax. We are very happy with the haouse now that it is built. We would recommend Mr. Collinson. We would use his services if we were to build another house. Jock Murray”

“We asked Abbott Brown to do a full renovation of our summer house in the Annapolis Valley, and we are completely thrilled with the result. The house had a number of issues which we weren't sure how to solve, but Jane and Alec saw all kinds of potential in the site which we never imagined, and gave us a new addition which, together with some wonderful opening up and re-planning of the old building, transformed the whole feel. Everyone who steps inside falls in love with the house, and we remain so happy to be in such a bright, easy place. They were great to deal with; they listen and you really feel like they are working to give you the best possible project. I'd recommend Jane and Alec whole-heartedly.”
