“Don Richardson was such a pleasure to work with as his design, creativity, knowledge and professionalism were brilliant. Several times, Don went the extra mile (literally) to bring samples, discuss decisions and patiently explore alternatives. His rapport with the crew was fabulous and led to very smooth execution of the project, basically a guest house on our property for our extended family. Don designed the bedroom of our young grandson as a totally sweet cabin room with a stunning view of the trees around it. Our grandson woke up the first morning in his new room, whispering to his mother that he was in the middle of a forest!”

“In 2011 I engaged the services of Smook Architecture to conceive, design and oversee the construction of a new, 2,600 SF, hurricane-code compliant, second-home, on the water, in Centerville, MA. The home was completed in July 2012 and we are extremely pleased with the finished home, with the details and design elements it includes and with the many compliments it engenders for its contextural design, choice of materials, placement on the site and practicality of use. I would use Smook Architecture again and can recommend their collaborative, insightful services to others without reservation. This was a fun process where our wishes were respected, yet professionally challenged, when appropriate, where a design concept was presented, refined and then adhered to, and where the supervision of the building process was handled professionally, firmly and timely. I would not hesitate to use Smook Architecture for future projects, in fact, I would look forward to it!”

“Couture Design Associates was contracted to design a bungalow in the East Greenwich historic district, with the proviso that it appear as if it was built in 1910. JP Couture was creative with the limited space available for the project as well as the overall design. He took time to learn how we live, what we were seeking, and prepared an elegant design that included what we wanted and is perfect for our lifestyle. He participated in the entire process, from approvals to interior design, serving as a terrific negotiator, mediator, and advocate. We found it a pleasure to work with JP and all of the staff at Couture Design Associates, and would highly recommend them for any project!”

“We contracted with Kathy to design and engineer a 396 sq ft addition to our Master Bedroom complex, expanding the bath and adding an office area. We immediately realized Kathy’s knowledge and expertise as she offered great suggestions to our thoughts for the space. For example, while we planned on a Jacuzzi tub in one end of the extended bath, Kathy sited it, creating a Tuscan-columned showpiece, centered on the back wall, something we still admire 9 years later! We found her fun to work with, her ideas creative, and she even coordinated well with our contractor. We highly recommend Kathy LaRose!”
