“I worked with Todd, from Openloft Design to help me take my home design from sketches and concepts models to full fledged Blue Prints and technical drawings. Todd completed everything in a timely manner and had some very helpful insights. Todd also took into consideration that I had done a lot of the design work and was willing to negotiate a fair price. I can't say this the whole home building process has been smooth but working with Openloft was by far the easiest part.”

“We hired Hyrum to build our dream home on Pineview Lake in the Ogden Valley. Hyrum did an amazing job listening to our requests and offering his creative design perspective to create a functional and beautiful place. “My husband and I couldn't agree on a paint color for a specific section of our home's exterior, and we went back and forth to the hardware store for numerous paint samples, which we spot checked in areas all over the house. It was a super frustrating process until Slate Design Studio stepped in. Our professional was able to provide digital renderings of the house showcasing a carefully selected array of colors so that we could clearly see how the section of the house would look in its entirety next to every other surface it touched and needed to coordinate with. Our professional offered to change colors as needed, or answer questions for us throughout the process, and he was prompt with his replies when we asked him anything. We were able to specify the brand of paint we wanted to use, and our digital rendition was tweaked accordingly, with paint colors and product numbers listed so that we knew exactly what to look for in the store. Suddenly the process was simple - we may never go back to our antiquated system of choosing colors. My husband and I have almost decided on one color we both like (the options he presented are really good, and one was a color we never even considered, but frankly like better than our own ideas) , and painting will begin in August. Anyone who needs a consultation for paint colors or design ideas would be well served in contacting Kinley at Slate Design Studio. This is a professional with an amazing eye and the customer service you'd receive will exceed your expectations.”

My wife & I are in the process of building a new home, we had been driving through new sub-divisions all over Northern Utah, searching Houzz and other architectural sites, and trying to find inspiration for a modern take on a country farm house.
