“We worked most directly with Sara Nelson and could not have had a better experience. Sara and her firm were responsive, resourceful and highly creative with great attention to important and meaningful details that are a trademark of their work.”
David Wenchell Architects LLC
Architects in Woodbridge, CT
Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars28 March 2019
“Dave is a highly skilled architect with a deep knowledge of the style and structure of the building(s) he is asked to design and draft. Dave is easy to work with and has a keen sensitivity for his clients' tastes. He spends considerable time listening and understanding the "wants" of his clients and balancing the practicality and realistic options for construction. I would enthusiastically recommend him to anyone interested in designing and building a "house of one's dreams". You will not regret the time and effort he contributes to your project.”

“My husband and I, after perusing about 500 house plans this winter, finally decided on one to build. We contacted Joel Davis, and we purchased the plan. Because we intended to make several changes, he forwarded the PDF file to the company which provides modification services for them. I asked Joel whether the house had ever been built, and he researched and found the information for me. The nearest family who had built the house that we had chosen was located only a 6-hour drive from us. I contacted them, spoke with the wife at length, and she invited us to come down and actually see "our house". This was really a great opportunity, as you can imagine. They were kind enough to host us for 4 hours; we got the opportunity to look at every cubby and closet, to ask them endless questions - and we got a slide show of the construction process as their home was being built. Well, a long story shortened... we knew this house was not for us! It was immensely larger than we had envisioned. We had simply liked the floor plan, but had really not had an accurate vision for how large the rooms would be. I contacted Joel and explained our dilemma. He really went to bat for us, contacting the architect and explaining the whole thing. Because we had never actually received anything - no plans or PDF files, he was able to refund our purchase. We were really pleased that he also sold our "second choice" plan - another architect's work. He really cared that we were happy with our choice and that we were building a house we would be thrilled to move into. I can't say enough good things about this company! I would guess that most businessmen in Joel Davis' position would simply tell us, "tough luck!" and be more concerned about keeping their architects happy. I would highly recommend using their service when choosing your house plan.”

John R. Schroeder, AIA
Architects in Woodbridge, CT
Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars5 November 2014
“John R. Schroeder, AIA, you have given us our dream home and by that I mean a home more beautiful than we could have imagined and yet completely suitable to our hectic everyday lives as a family with four young children. You listened to our random ideas and put them together into a design that is better than the sum of its parts and what's more, it was completed on schedule (I didn't think this ever happened!).”

“I consulted with Bill on a planned kitchen-dining area remodel and his advice and suggestions were exactly what I needed to get started. Once I have secured the funds to begin the job, I most definitely will contact him to take on the project. Thank you for all your help!”
MAR JENNINGS/S&J Multimedia LLC
Architects in Woodbridge, CT
Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars22 January 2013
“Mar Jennings is a true professional that thinks outside of the box and ALWAYS over delivers on any project he and his team is involved with. One example: Mar took on a project for FOX, among many others I was personally involved with that required his talents and eye. He went above and beyond to help make a $40,000+ Dream Room Makeover TV Show a huge success. I would give him 6 stars on the 5 star scale.... Tony Colapietro Stonegate Studios”
Newick Architects
Architects in Woodbridge, CT
Average rating: 4 out of 5 stars16 September 2015
“I engaged Newick Architects to design the renovation and reconstruction of my home. I believe it was a very good client/architect relationship. Additionally, we partnered with a contractor of my choice and it became a fruitful 3-way collaboration. (In fact, the architect and contractor have worked together on numerous projects subsequent to my introduction.) I researched over 60 architects before selecting Newick Architects, and did so because I believed we shared an aesthetic sensibility, which was borne out by the project's successful fruition.”

“We hired Dan and his company to do a renovation on our 1836 era home. They designed an open kitchen floorplan, added a stone fireplace, a butler's pantry, and office, and reconfigured our back entry and laundry room. They also added another bathroom upstairs and extended our patio outside. I loved that he reused original materials and also sourced beams, etc. that matched the home. (They found an original floor beam that was not in good enough shape to continue support, so they replaced this and he suggested using the good part of this beam as our new mantle. It looks great and I love using an original beam in a prominent place in the new room.) The design gave us an updated and more efficient way to use our old house, while keeping with the traditional look and feel. We also really liked the way Dan charged for his services. Instead of a percentage of the total job - which creates the incentive for the architect to increase the size of the job, Dan charged by the hour of his time. We could call him at any point in the job to come oversee the contractor or consult. And were always happy with his involvement. We felt that he and his firm were a great value.”
Titus Built, LLC
Architects in Woodbridge, CT
Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars26 June 2013
“Titus Built renovated a large portion of my basement. The job included blasting through a wall that gave access to my backyard, constructing a stairwell to the outside, building out a large living area of approximately 2000sf which included a tv area, a kitchen, six bunk beds and a bathroom. In another area of the basement a gym was built. The job was a huge success. It looks tremendous and my family uses it daily. The workmanship was top notch and the owner Jeff Titus was very easy to work with. Any problem was dealt with immediately and solved.”
