Passionate is a very overused adjective…but I can’t think of a better one for Charlie Luxton. He was so enthusiastic about a dilapidated Cotswold barn that I was looking at with him….that I bought it. As far as the design and renovation of this building was concerned I simply could not have done it without Charlie, Kate and the team at CLD. The person you chose to build or renovate your home is the MOST important decision that you make. I went with my gut and I chose wisely! Charlie walked me through every step of the way, he steered me where I needed it, advised but didn’t dictate, encouraged sustainable materials which I would not have thought of (heat recovery, reclaimed materials, breathable insulation) and has given me a home that I am 100% happy with. I have made two wonderful friends in Charlie and Kate and that to me says it all.

We loved working with Charlie and his team to create our house. He listened carefully to our requirements and our desires and hopes. Charlie helped us prioritise what was critical in our project and produced a design that would be achievable with our budget. We were always able to talk openly and honestly with confidence that a beautiful and efficient design solution would be achieved. His team were fully committed to achieving the highest possible finish. No detail was too small. Our beautiful home is the result of an immensely satisfying design conversation where we were able to investigate, question and play whilst being expertly and enthusiastically steered through the mammoth task of building your own home. We couldn't be happier or recommend them more highly.

Commented: Do you know what wood was used for the divider and the window cill?Hi, the window cill wood is the same as the flooring which is Dinesen. The sliding door is made from birch-faced plywood. Not sure of the wall paint colour i'm afraid.
