Fasciato Architects

Fasciato Architects provided us with a large 2-storey house extension, many other internal and external alterations and a separate single storey building at the bottom of the garden. Their brief was to solve the long list of accommodation problems and wants that we gave them in a cost effective way. They came up with many creative ideas that we simply couldn't have thought of but were also willing and able to rein in their enthusiasm when it came to redeploying existing components (e.g. the kitchen) in order to keep costs manageable. The project was delivered at the estimated price (although this was somewhat larger than our original budget) and Fasciato Architects managed the 4+ month construction project very effectively and were able to adapt to the various pitfalls we encountered on the way. We have been delighted with the results and would not hesitate to recommend them. In fact we have already done so.

Just moved into a new house that has been completely redesigned and reconstructed. It's gone from a 1960's dormer bungalow box to a fantastic modern space. Fabulous. I just love living here. Now I don't even miss my previous house, a 1930's semi for which Fasciato Archtects did a similar reconstruction. In both cases they made creative use of the space available, solved some tricky building problems, and created a house that didn't just look good but was highly functional as well. It's just a shame that I'm too old to contemplate doing this a third time!

Fasciato Architects are a very interesting and skilled practice to work with. We had the pleasure of working with them on a superb, period dwelling in Cheshire. They paid great attention to detail and have been very welcoming of our ideas too. We would highly recommend Fasciato Architects.

Four years after completion and the house is still fantastic. The brief was to transform and extend an old house for modern living. After interviewing a short list of architects we chose Chris. The preliminary sketch he showed me with his ideas after his first visit to the site was replicated and enhanced in the final build. Every "annoying" trait of the old house has been eliminated and what we have now is a beautiful combination of an old and modern house which works well. The old part of the house is made of stone on the left and the new part of the house is glass and wood on the right. The large window area gives outstanding view over our wood which the previous old and small windows did not give. Chris also designed a free standing glass and wood studio which sits to the left of the house - again with outstanding views The team (builder RG Walker, Quantity Surveyor Tozer and Tozer and architect Fasciato) worked extremely well together to deliver a project that was on time, on budget and of outstanding quality. I would and have recommended Fasciato.
